public officer means a person holding or acting in any public office;
Traffic officer means any person employed by a city, county, or city and county to monitor and enforce state laws and local ordinances relating to parking and the operation of vehicles.
Chief Academic Officer means the Administrative Officer at the College who has overall management responsibility for academic programs and services, or his/her designee.
Public Official means any executive, official, or employee of a Governmental Authority, political party or member of a political party, political candidate; executive, employee or officer of a public international organization; or director, officer or employee or agent of a wholly owned or partially state-owned or controlled enterprise, including a PRC state-owned or controlled enterprise.

Health Officer means the Municipal Health Officer or District Health Officer or such other official as may be appointed by the State Government in that behalf.
Election Officer or "election official" means any of the following:
Medical Officer of Health means the Medical Officer of Health for the Regional Municipality of York;
Accounting Officer clause 65;
Chief election official means the state official or body that is authorized to certify the total number of popular votes for each presidential slate;
Liaison Officer means a local representative of the temporary workforce, duly appointed through the PSC processes, to act on behalf of the workers and through whom all matters pertaining to the temporary workforce can be channelled.
proper officer (“swyddog priodol”) means an officer of that council within the meaning of section 270(3) of the Local Government Act 1972; and
Conservation officer means an employee of the department of natural resources, or its predecessor or successor agency, who has sworn to the prescribed oath of office and who is designated as a peace officer under section 1606 of the natural resources and environmental protection act, 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.1606, and section 1 of 1986 PA 109, MCL 300.21.
prison officer means a person engaged or deemed to have been engaged to be a prison officer under section 13 and a person appointed or deemed to have been appointed under section 6 to an office designated by rules for the purposes only of this definition;
Foreign public official means any person holding a legislative, executive, administrative or judicial office of a foreign country, whether appointed or elected; and any person exercising a public function for a foreign country, including for a public agency or public enterprise;
Information Officer means the Person acting on behalf of the Company and discharging the duties and responsibilities assigned to the Head of the Private Body by the Act. The Information Officer is duly authorised to act as such and such authorisation has been confirmed in writing by the Head of the Private Body.
Applicable public official means a person elected to an office or a person appointed to complete a term of an elected office, who has the authority to award or influence the award of the contract for which the prospective contractor is submitting a competitive sealed proposal or who has the authority to negotiate a sole source or small purchase contract that may be awarded without submission of a sealed competitive proposal.
forest officer means a full-time employee of the department of natural resources who is designated a forest officer under section 1503.29 of the Revised Code and is in compliance with section 109.77 of the Revised Code.
Radiation safety officer means an individual who has the knowledge and responsibility to apply appropriate radiation protection regulations and has been assigned such responsibility by the licensee or registrant.
Catering Officer means a person who is responsible for catering services.
Nodal Officer means the Dy.Chief Engineer or Superintending Engineer an officer appointed by the Chief Engineer in writing who shall direct and supervise and to perform the duties set forth in sub - Clause 3.2 hereof and be in-charge of the works.
Supervising Officer means the supervising officer of the Ministry;

Fiscal Officer means, with respect to a regional transit authority, the secretary-treasurer thereof, and with respect to a county that is a transit authority, the fiscal officer of the county transit board if one is appointed pursuant to section 306.03 of the Revised Code or the county auditor if the board of county commissioners operates the county transit system.
