Adaptation action area definition

Adaptation action area or “adaptation area” means a designation in the coastal management element of a local government’s comprehensive plan which identifies one or more areas that experience coastal flooding due to extreme high tides and storm surge, and that are vulnerable to the related impacts of rising sea levels for the purpose of prioritizing funding for infrastructure needs and adaptation planning.

  • Demolition works means any physical activity to tear down or break up a structure (or part thereof) or surface, or the like, and includes the loading of demolition waste and the unloading of plant or machinery.

  • The Works means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Excavation work means the making of any man-made cavity, trench, pit or depression formed by cutting, digging or scooping;

  • Demolition waste means that solid waste that is produced by the destruction of structures, or their foundations, or both, and includes the same materials as construction waste.

  • Fabrication means making up data or results and recording or reporting them.
