The Commission shall publish its reports and conservation and management measures when adopted and shall maintain a public record of all reports and conservation and management measures in force in the Convention Area.
Members of the Commission shall take measures, individually or collectively, consistent with this Convention and international law to deter activities of such vessels which undermine the effectiveness of conservation and management measures applicable in the Convention Area, and shall report to the Commission any action taken in response to fishing in the Convention Area by non-Contracting Parties.
The Scientific Committee shall not duplicate the activities of other scientific organizations and arrangements that cover the Convention Area.
The objective of this Convention is to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the fisheries resources in the Convention Area while protecting the marine ecosystems of the North Pacific Ocean in which these resources occur.
The Commission shall ensure that data are publicly available concerning the number of fishing vessels operating in the Convention Area, the status of fisheries resources managed under this Convention, fisheries resources assessments, research programs in the Convention Area, and cooperative initiatives with regional and global organizations.
