Adult mentoring definition

Adult mentoring means providing a one-to-one relationship between an adult and a youth, whose purpose is to build positive, supportive relationships between youth and adults and to provide positive adult role models for youth.
Adult mentoring. The process of matching an adult advisor with a youth participant in order to assist the youth in successfully completing services for a minimum duration of twelve (12) months. The role of a mentor may also include assisting the youth in transitioning into employment with the ultimate aim of job retention. It is one of the fourteen required youth program elements. Advanced Training: An occupational skills employment/training program, not funded under Title I of the WIOA, which does not duplicate training received under Title I. Includes only training outside of the One-Stop system (WIOA and partners), i.e., training following exit. Aging Out of Xxxxxx Care: Youth aging out of xxxxxx care are those individuals that at age 18, are no longer eligible for adult supervised care. Alien: A foreign-born person who has not qualified as a citizen of the country. Aliens may be residents or non-residents of the United States. Allowable Costs: Those costs which are necessary, reasonable and allowable under applicable Federal, state and local law for the proper administration and performance of the services to be provided under this Contract. The Contractor payments or reimbursements under this Contract are for allowable costs only.
