Allowable Expenses definition

Allowable Expenses means any Medically Necessary, Usual and Customary item of expense, at least a portion of which is covered under this Plan. When some Other Plan provides benefits in the form of services rather than cash payments, the reasonable cash value of each service rendered in the amount that would be payable in accordance with the terms of the Plan shall be deemed to be the benefit.
Allowable Expenses means any necessary, reasonable and customary item of expense at least a portion of which is covered under at least one of the Health Benefit Plans covering the person for whom claim is made. When a Health Benefit Plan provides benefits in the form of coverage for services, the reasonable cash value of each service rendered shall be deemed to be both an Allowable Expense and a benefit paid.
Allowable Expenses means the Usual and Customary charge for any Medically Necessary, Reasonable, eligible item of expense, at least a portion of which is covered under a plan. When some Other Plan pays first in accordance with Section 10.06A herein, this Plan’s Allowable Expenses shall consist of the Plan Participant's responsibility, if any, after the Other Plan has paid but shall in no event exceed the Other Plan’s Allowable Expenses. When some Other Plan provides benefits in the form of services rather than cash payments, the reasonable cash value of each service rendered, in the amount that would be payable in accordance with the terms of the Plan, shall be deemed to be the benefit. Benefits payable under any Other Plan include the benefits that would have been payable had claim been duly made therefore.

Examples of Allowable Expenses in a sentence

  • Allowable Expenses means any health care expense, including deductibles, coinsurance or copayments that are covered in whole or in part by any of the Plans covering the Member.

  • Benefits will be coordinated with any other eligible medical, surgical, or hospital Plan or coverage so that combined payments under all programs will not exceed 100% of Allowable Expenses incurred for covered services and supplies.

  • The Secondary Contract may reduce the benefits it pays so that payments from all Contracts does not exceed one hundred percent (100%) of the total Allowable Expenses.

  • Whenever We have made payments with respect to Allowable Expenses in total amount at any time, which are more than the maximum amount of payment needed at that time to satisfy the intent of this provision, We may recover such excess payments.

  • Effect on Benefits - When Our Plan is secondary, We may reduce Our benefits so that the total benefits paid or provided by all Plans during a plan year are not more than the total Allowable Expenses.


More Definitions of Allowable Expenses

Allowable Expenses means the necessary, reasonable and customary expense for health care when the expense is covered in whole or in part under at least one of the plans.
Allowable Expenses means any reasonable, necessary, and customary expenses incurred while covered under this Plan, part or all of which would be covered under this Plan. Allowable Expenses do not include expenses contained in the "Exclusions" sections of this Plan.
