Asphalt Concrete definition

Asphalt Concrete or “AC” means blend of aggregate and asphalt binder meeting the specifications set forth in the City of Richmond Standard Specifications Section 39, “Asphalt Concrete” and the Caltrans Standard Specifications Section 39, “Asphalt Concrete.”
Asphalt Concrete means a paving material produced by combining and heating asphalt cement (also referred to in the industry as "liquid asphalt" or "asphalt oil") with aggregate.
Asphalt Concrete means a composite material consisting of asphalt binder and mineral aggregate that is mixed together then laid down in layers and compacted.
