Authorised Medical Attendant definition

Authorised Medical Attendant means the medical practitioner authorised by the employer for the purposes of any of the provisions of the Act or the rules made thereunder;
Authorised Medical Attendant or “AMA” means any Railway Doctor or a registered medical practitioner practising in any hospital or in his own dispensary.
Authorised Medical Attendant means the authorised medical attendant as defined in the G.B. Pant Engineering College, Pauri (Garhwal) Medical Attendance and Treatment Regulations.

  • Employees who undergo operation for recanalisation may be granted special casual leave upto a period of 21 days or actual period of hospitalisation as certified by the Authorised Medical Attendant, whichever is less.

  • An employee who requires special casual leave beyond the limits laid down for undergoing sterilisation operation owing to the development of post- operation complications may be allowed special casual leave to cover the period for which he or she is hospitalised on account of post-operational complications, subject to the production of a certificate from the concerned hospital authorities/an Authorised Medical Attendant.

  • Grant of leave on Medical Certificate to Government servant.- [(1) An application for leave on medical certificate, made by a Government servant, shall be accompanied by a medical certificate in Form 3 given by an Authorised Medical Attendant or a Registered Medical Practitioner, defining as clearly as possible the nature and probable duration of the illness.

  • On half pay may be granted only to a permanent employee when no other leave is due to him subject to a limit of 360 days during his entire period of service, of which not more than 90 days at a time and 190 days in all otherwise than on a medical certificate from the Authorised Medical Attendant (AMA).

  • For treatment under Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy, a referral certificate from Government Doctors in-charge Ayurvedic/Homeopathy/Hospitals/Dispensaries is to be produced for recommendation by the Board’s Authorised Medical Attendant and approval by the Competent Authority.
