MEDICAL ATTENDANCE. A member who is required to attend while off-duty at a medical facility for initial treatment and/or testing relative to a potential job-related exposure to a serious infectious disease, such as Tuberculosis, Hepatitis or HIV, shall receive six (6) hours' regular straight-time compensation for such attendance.

MEDICAL ATTENDANCE. 98.1 This procedure covers medical assessments for Locomotive Operating Employees required to meet the medical standards under the Code of Practice, Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers. 98.2 Where a blood test requires the Locomotive Operating Employee to fast, an overall payment of 11 hours is to be made to the Locomotive Operating Employee who satisfactorily completes the blood test phase of the medical examination, which includes time attending the test. This payment is stand alone and shall not be considered time worked. 98.3 Payments for fasting are limited to each principal medical examination. Any follow up examination associated with the results from the principal examination that requires fasting will be in the Driver’s own time and attract no payment. This excludes situations where the above follow up examination is required through no fault of the Locomotive Operating Employee. 98.4 Locomotive Operating Employees shall be required to arrange and attend a medical appointment outside their rostered hours of work. Where an employee fails to arrange a medical appointment within a month of the expiry of their current medical, V/Line will arrange a medical appointment at the closest location to their home address for that employee during an off-roster day. 98.5 Locomotive Operating Employees that attend a medical examination shall be paid four hours for attendance in addition to travel time at the appropriate all-purpose rate or if they do not have an all-purpose rate, the appropriate hourly rate for their grade. Travel time shall be for all time spent travelling to and from home and the location of the medical appointment, with a minimum payment of one hour either side of the appointment. These payments are stand-alone and shall not be considered time worked. 98.6 If, during the life of this Agreement, Locomotive Operating Employees are no longer required by the National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers to undertake fasting prior to the blood test phase of the medical examination, any payments for time spent fasting will cease. In the event the blood test is conducted on a day before the medical the Locomotive Operating Employee will be paid a stand- alone payment of four hours. 98.7 For the avoidance of doubt, if the requirement to fast is withdrawn, Category 1 Rail Safety Workers will continue to be paid for time in attendance at rail safety medical examinations.
MEDICAL ATTENDANCE. 4.19.1 This procedure covers the preparation and attendance of Employees for blood testing and at subsequent medical examinations, required to meet the medical standards under the Code of Practice, Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers. 4.19.2 The blood test requires the Employee to fast for a period of eight to twelve (8 -12) hours prior to the test. Attendance time for the blood test should take up to one (1) hour. An overall payment of eleven (11) hours is to be made to Employees who satisfactorily complete the blood test phase of the medical examination. This payment is to stand-alone and be deemed a non-active shift for the purpose of calculating shift penalties and overtime payments. The entire payment is to be paid at ordinary time rate. 4.19.3 Payment for attendance at the subsequent follow-up medical fitness examination, where attendance is outside of ordinary working hours, is to be based on the actual time involved subject to a maximum of three point five (3.5) hours. This time is to stand alone and be deemed a non-active shift for the purpose of calculating shift penalties/Overtime payments. The attendance time is to be paid at ordinary time rate. 4.19.4 Any further medial attendance requirements to meet the necessary medical standard will be the responsibility of the Employee and must be carried out in the Employee’s own time. 4.19.5 All Employees are required to undergo medical testing to the standard within the designated time. 4.19.6 Any Employee who attends medical appointments during ordinary work hours is required to return to work after the appointments to complete their shift.
MEDICAL ATTENDANCE. (a) An employee who is required to attend while off-duty at a medical facility for initial treatment and/or testing relative to a potential job- related exposure to a serious infectious disease, such as, but not limited to, tuberculosis, hepatitis or HIV, shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours compensation at the employee’s regular rate of pay for such attendance, to be taken as time off work subject to the operational requirements of the Department. (b) In addition, an employee who is required to attend for follow-up treatment and/or testing at the direction of a physician, while the employee is off-duty, shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours compensation at the employee’s regular rate of pay per treatment or test, to be taken as time off work subject to the operational requirements of the Department.

Where practicable the Locomotive Operating Employees is to attend work. 86.5 If, during the life of this Agreement, Locomotive Operating Employees are no longer required by the National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers to undertake fasting prior to a medical examination, any payments for time spent fasting will cease. 86.6 For the avoidance of doubt, if the requirement to fast is withdrawn, Category 1 Rail Safety Workers will continue to be paid for time in attendance at rail safety medical examinations.

Related to MEDICAL ATTENDANCE

  • Attendance MPS shall allow any Charter School pupil who meets MPS admission standards to enroll in an MPS School, in accordance with MPS Student Assignment Policies, as amended from time to time, unless such pupil has been expelled from Charter School.

  • Court Attendance Any employee covered by this Agreement who may be required to attend any commission, court or hearing, to give evidence in any case, civil or criminal respecting the hotel in which they are employed, shall be compensated at the same hourly rate as called for in this Agreement, with a minimum of four (4) hours pay.

  • Conference Attendance The Federation will be entitled to five (5) person days per year release time for designated Federation representatives to attend conferences. All conference expenses will be the responsibility of the Federation, unless funding is requested and approved through regular District processes for conference attendance.

  • Medical Examination Where the Employer requires an employee to submit to a medical examination or medical interview, it shall be at the Employer's expense and on the Employer's time.

  • Meeting Attendance The Contractor shall attend such meetings of the Town relative to the Scope of Work set forth in Exhibit A as may be requested by the Town. Any requirement made by the named representatives of the Town shall be given with reasonable notice to the Contractor so that a representative may attend.

  • Attendance Incentive It is the desire of both the Employer and the Union to provide consistent quality bus service for all students. It is also a mutual desire to have qualified permanent District bus drivers available to drive all identified bus routes. Based on this mutual interest, the parties agree to this Attendance Incentive program during the life of the Agreement:

  • Medical Services We do not Cover medical services or dental services that are medical in nature, including any Hospital charges or prescription drug charges.

  • Medical Examinations An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice. Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Wellness i. To support the statewide goal for a healthy and productive workforce, employees are encouraged to participate in a Well-Being Assessment survey. Employees will be granted work time and may use a state computer to complete the survey. ii. The Coalition of Unions agrees to partner with the Employer to educate their members on the wellness program and encourage participation. Eligible, enrolled subscribers who register for the Smart Health Program and complete the Well-Being Assessment will be eligible to receive a twenty-five dollar ($25) gift certificate. In addition, eligible, enrolled subscribers shall have the option to earn an annual one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) or more wellness incentive in the form of reduction in deductible or deposit into the Health Savings Account upon successful completion of required Smart Health Program activities. During the term of this Agreement, the Steering Committee created by Executive Order 13-06 shall make recommendations to the PEBB regarding changes to the wellness incentive or the elements of the Smart Health Program.

  • Medical Services Plan Regular Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time Employees shall be entitled to be covered under the Medical Services Plan commencing the first day of the calendar month following the date of employment. The City shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums required by the plan.
