Capital Asset definition

Capital Asset means, with respect to the Borrower and its Subsidiaries, any asset that should, in accordance with GAAP, be classified and accounted for as a capital asset on a Consolidated balance sheet of the Borrower and its Subsidiaries.
Capital Asset means, with respect to any Person, any tangible fixed or capital asset owned or leased (in the case of a Capital Lease) by such Person, or any expense incurred by such Person that is required by GAAP to be reported as a non-current asset on such Person’s balance sheet.
Capital Asset means any item of equipment or other asset costing £500 (five hundred pounds) (excluding VAT) or more which, on the date of purchase, has a useful life of more than one year and is purchased wholly or partly out of the Grant.

  • Until the expiration of six years after final payment, the Inspector General, the Commissioner of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, and Town shall have the right to examine any books, documents, papers or records of the Contractor and Subcontractors that directly pertain to and involve transactions relating to the Contractor and Subcontractors.

More Definitions of Capital Asset

Capital Asset means property that contributes toward earning self-employment income, including self-employment income from a microenterprise (see section (43) of this rule), either directly or indirectly. The Recipient shall not dispose of any Capital Asset without the British Council’s prior written consent. The British Council may require the sale of any Capital Asset at open market value and may also require payment to the British Council of a share of the net proceeds of sale in proportion to the amount of Grant contributed to its purchase.
