A Board member shall not be subject to removal under this Policy, unless the member has been censured at least once pursuant to the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners’ (“Commission”) Censure Policy.
Censure, along with corrective actions, which would include a disgorgement of profits plus an additional financial penalty (up to the difference between the stock’s current market price and the purchase price times the quantity) or necessary disclosure being made for the non-trading/financial violation.
Censure indicates the University’s desire to underscore the seriousness of the violation and the absence of mitigating circumstances and to convey that seriousness in response to future authorized inquiries about the given individual’s conduct.
