Violation of this act definition

Violation of this act means a violation of any provision of this
Violation of this act as used herein, shall mean any action of any sort, directly or indirectly, calculated to curtail any rights or protections established by this act.

  • Public nuisance means a building that is a menace to the public health, welfare, or safety, or that is structurally unsafe, unsanitary, or not provided with adequate safe egress, or that constitutes a fire hazard, or is otherwise dangerous to human life, or that in relation to the existing use constitutes a hazard to the public health, welfare, or safety by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence, or abandonment. “Public nuisance” includes buildings with blighting characteristics as defined by Iowa Code section 403.2.

  • Violent felony means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-3-203.5.

  • Cannabis Act means An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts, S.C. 2018, c. 16, as amended from time to time.

  • Date of this Agreement means the date first written above.

  • Violent act means behavior that resulted in homicide,

  • Labor laws means the following labor laws and E.O.s:

  • Discrimination or harassment means discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ancestry, national origin, or disability.

  • Corrupt Act means any offence in respect of corruption or corrupt activities contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act No. 12 of 2004;

  • (1) In this Act employee” means an individual who has entered into or works under (or, where the employment has ceased, worked under) a contract of employment.

  • Violent offense means a violent offense as defined in RCW 9.94A.030;

  • Violent criminal activity means any criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage.

  • Serious assault means an act that constitutes a felony violation of chapter XI of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81 to 750.90h, or that constitutes an assault and infliction of serious or aggravated injury under section 81a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81a.

  • Term of this Agreement means the period that commences on the date of this Agreement and ends on the earlier of:

  • criminal laws means all criminal laws designated as such under domestic law irrespective of whether contained in the tax laws, the criminal code or other statutes.

  • Serious violation means OCC has made a valid finding when assessing a serious complaint that alleges:

  • Anticorruption Laws means the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended and any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Nonviolent offense means an offense which is not a violent

  • Deportation or forcible transfer of population means forced displacement of the persons concerned by expulsion or other coercive acts from the area in which they are lawfully present, without grounds permitted under international law;

  • Public Hospitals Act means the Public Hospitals Act (Ontario) and, where the context requires, includes the regulations made under it;
