Chemical Flame Retardant definition

Chemical Flame Retardant means any halogenated or phosphorous-based chemical compound used for the purpose of resisting or retarding the spread of fire. “Chemical Flame Retardant” does not include any chemical that has been rated as a Benchmark 4 chemical pursuant to Clean Production Action’s GreenScreen (http://www.cleanproduction.org/ Green.Greenscreen.php).

Examples of Chemical Flame Retardant in a sentence

  • As of the Effective Date, Defendant shall not distribute, sell, or offer for sale in California any Covered Product that has been Treated with any Listed Chemical Flame Retardant and which has a Manufacture Date that is on or later than the Effective Date.

  • Any Covered Products in which the polyurethane foam has been Treated with any Listed Chemical Flame Retardant and which is distributed, sold, or offered for sale by Defendant in California after the Effective Date shall be accompanied by a Clear and Reasonable Warning that complies with Section 3.1.4.

  • Any Covered Products in which the fabric has been Treated with any Listed Chemical Flame Retardant and which is distributed, sold, or offered for sale by HKD in California after the Effective Date shall be accompanied by a Clear and Reasonable Warning that complies with Section 3.1.4.

  • Defendants shall obtain and maintain a minimum of one written certification from their suppliers of polyurethane foam confirming that all such foam received by Defendants for distribution in California after the Effective Date has not been Treated with any Listed Chemical Flame Retardant.

  • To ensure compliance with the reformulation provisions of this Section 3.1.3, Defendant shall directly or through its supply chain issue specifications to its suppliers of polyurethane foam, cushioning, or padding used as filling material in any Covered Product requiring that the polyurethane foam has not been treated with any Listed Chemical Flame Retardant.

  • Chemical agent shall mean any compound which, when suitably disseminated, produces incapacitating, damaging or lethal effects on people, animals, plants or material property.

  • Fluoroscopic imaging assembly means a subsystem in which X-ray photons produce a visual image. It includes the image receptor(s) such as the image intensifier and spot-film device, electrical interlocks, if any, and structural material providing linkage between the image receptor and diagnostic source assembly.

  • Radionuclide means a radioactive element or a radioactive isotope.

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Nuclear medicine technologist means an individual who holds a current certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

  • Electrical Fitter means an employee who is mainly employed in the workshops manufacturing, fitting, and repairing electrical instruments, machines, and apparatus. Electrical fitting in this definition shall include armature and transformer winding, and people solely engaged in making and repairing instruments. The legitimate possession of a certificate of competency in this particular class of work issued by the Electrical Licensing Board under the Electricity Act 1994 shall be recognised as proof of efficiency.

  • Pathological waste means waste material consisting of only human or animal remains, anatomical parts, and/or tissue, the bags/containers used to collect and transport the waste material, and animal bedding (if applicable).

  • Chemical name means the scientific designation of a chemical in accordance with the nomenclature system developed by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) or the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) rules of nomenclature, or a name which will clearly identify the chemical for the purpose of conducting a hazard evaluation.

  • Biomedical Waste means biomedical waste as defined in the Ontario Ministry of the Environment Guideline C-4 entitled “The Management of Biomedical Waste in Ontario” dated April 1994, as amended from time to time;
