CHESS Participant definition

CHESS Participant means the “Participant” as such term is defined in the Australian Tripartite Agreement.
CHESS Participant means, in relation to a Client, that Client's participant for the purposes of the SCH Rules which controls the Transfer of Secured Property held by that Client.

Examples of CHESS Participant in a sentence

  • Subposition A facility in CHESS by which: • activity in relation to Financial Products in a CHESS Holding may be restricted; and • access to those Financial Products for limited purposes may be given to a CHESS Participant other than the Broker.

  • Part 2 sets out the terms and conditions of your CHESS sponsorship where you nominate OpenMarkets as your CHESS sponsor and authorise us to create a CHESS Participant Sponsored Holding in your name.

  • You have a choice of holding those products in electronic form sponsored by the Issuer of the product (i.e. Issuer Sponsored) or by a CHESS Participant (i.e. Participant Sponsored).

  • Part 2 sets out the terms and conditions of your CHESS sponsorship whereby you nominate OpenMarkets as your CHESS sponsor and authorise us to create a CHESS Participant Sponsored Holding in your name.

Related to CHESS Participant

  • CDS Participant means a participant in CDS that holds security entitlements in Units on behalf of beneficial owners of those Units;

  • Non-U.S. Participant means any Participant that if it were a Lender would qualify as a Non-U.S. Lender.

  • U.S. Participant means any Participant who is a United States citizen or United States resident alien as defined for purposes of Section 7701(b)(1)(A) of the Code or for whom an Award is otherwise subject to taxation under the Code.

  • Key participant means a sole proprietor, a partner in partnership, or a person with executive managerial control in a corporation. A person with executive managerial control includes persons such as a chief executive officer, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. This definition does not include non-executive managers such as farm, field, or shift managers.

  • L/C Participant shall have the meaning provided in Section 3.3(a).
