Civil Construction definition

Civil Construction means construction of new buildings, roads, irrigation schemes and urban and rural pure water supplies destined for public use, and includes works of maintenance, extension and upgrading of the existing ones;
Civil Construction means the construction, repair, maintenance or demolition of:
Civil Construction means the execution of contracts performed on the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Foods, Castlemaine Project site of which the principal or major component(s) is earthmoving, ‘greenfield’ sites, bulk earthworks, road construction; road and pedestrian crossings, water and waste water construction, dams, including piling, tunnelling and other works which would normally be defined as civil engineering construction.

  • The parties agree that this collective agreement constitutes the terms and conditions for Civil Construction in the Province of Ontario.

  • The Interconnection Customer understands and acknowledges that upon such transfer, it shall provide to Distribution Provider the final costs of the Civil Construction actually transferred in a form acceptable to the Distribution Provider, and Interconnection Customer shall be responsible for the ITCC and Interconnection Facilities Charge and/or Distribution Upgrades Charge for the portion of the Civil Construction transferred to Distribution Provider.

Civil Construction means construction of infrastructure undertaken by or on behalf of a principal and includes:

  • Horizontal construction means the construction of any fixed work, including any irrigation, drainage, water supply, flood control, harbor, railroad, highway, tunnel, airport or airway, sewer, sewage disposal plant or water treatment facility and any ancillary vertical components thereof, bridge, inland waterway, pipeline for the transmission of petroleum or any other liquid or gaseous substance, pier, and work incidental thereto. The term does not include vertical construction, the construction of any terminal or other building of an airport or airway, or the construction of any other building.

  • Residential construction means construction on single-family or two-family dwellings occupied or used, or intended to be occupied or used, primarily for residential purposes, and includes real property pursuant to chapter 499B.
