Civil Rights Claim definition

Civil Rights Claim means (a) any claim against the University or (b) any claim against an employee of the University or a student in training accepted for defense pursuant to Section 6.8 of the Bylaws of the Board of Regents, either of which is based in fact upon alleged unlawful denial of civil rights guaranteed to a claimant under the Constitution of the United States, any federal law or regulation, the Constitution of the State of Nebraska, or any law or regulation of the State of Nebraska, and for which the law provides a remedy enforceable in a court of competent jurisdiction of the State of Nebraska, the United States, or any other state or territory of the United States.
