Student in Training definition

Student in Training means any student enrolled in a program of the University when the student is acting for or on behalf of the University or when rendering services to another as part of his or her teaching or training by the University, but shall not include any student while participating in practice or competition as a member of a University intercollegiate athletic team. The phrase "acting for or on behalf of the University" in regard to a student in training shall mean only when a student is acting under the direction and supervision of an employee of the University in a specified capacity as a representative of the University pursuant to an express appointment or designation of the student by name in such capacity made in writing by an employee of the University duly authorized to make such appointment or designation.
