Class I substance definition

Class I substance as used in this clause, means any substance designated as class I by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)(40 CFR Part 82), including but not limited to chlorofluorocarbons, halons, carbon tetrachloride, and methyl chloroform.
Class I substance means an air contaminant that is listed in 42 U.S.C. § 7671a(a), or promulgated by EPA in a Federal rule, as a substance that has been found to cause or contribute significantly to harmful effects on the stratospheric ozone layer.
