Consumer Protection Law definition

Consumer Protection Law means all Applicable Laws and implementing regulations protecting the rights of consumers, including but not limited to those Applicable Laws enforced or administered by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and any other federal or state Governmental Authority (such as, by way of example, the California Department of Consumer Affairs) empowered with similar responsibilities.
Consumer Protection Law means any Law or binding standard directly or indirectly related to the protection of consumers in financing transactions, including the federal Truth in Lending Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the privacy and data security provisions of the Xxxxx-Xxxxx-Xxxxxx Act, Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Consumer Financial Protection Act and applicable federal agency regulations implementing the foregoing, and any state law or regulation regarding retail installment sales agreements, consumer loans, or unfair or deceptive acts or practices.
Consumer Protection Law means any law, regulation, rule, order or binding standard directly or indirectly related to the protection of consumers in financing transactions, including, without limitation, the federal Truth in Lending Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the privacy and data security provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Consumer Financial Protection Act (including the prohibition against unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices) and the rules and regulations implementing the foregoing, and any state retail installment sales act, loan law, usury law, or unfair or deceptive acts or practices law and the rules and regulations implementing the foregoing.
