Contracted Load definition

Contracted Load or “contract demand” means the maximum demand in kW, kVA or BHP, agreed to be supplied by the licensee and indicated in the agreement executed between the licensee and the consumer;
Contracted Load or “contract demand” means the maximum demand in kW or kVA, agreed to be supplied by the distribution licensee and indicated in the service connection agreement executed between the licensee and the consumer; and includes the contracted load or contract demand duly revised thereafter;
Contracted Load means, the connected load which the consumer requires and as specified in the agreement or in the sanction accorded for the service.

Examples of Contracted Load in a sentence

  • If there is no response from the consumer by the end of the notice period, the licensee shall start the procedure for enhancing the consumer’s Contracted Load/ Sanctioned Load to the load found at the time of inspection.

  • The Contracted Load enhancement application will be processed by the Distribution Licensee as per standard procedure for such applications.

  • If a consumer intends to install a Solar PV System of a capacity that exceeds the Contracted Load, the consumer shall submit an application for Contracted Load enhancement along with the Solar Net Metering application.

  • In case of non-Demand Based LT connections, review of Contracted Load/ Sanctioned Load shall be carried out once in a financial year and if it is found that connected load on such type of connection is 25% or more than the Contracted Load/ Sanctioned Load in case of Residential Consumers and 10% or more than the Contracted Load/ Sanctioned Load in case of other categories of consumers, the licensee shall issue a 60-day notice to the consumer for submitting an application form for enhancement of load.

  • The consumer shall be deemed to have commence taking supply of electrical energy from the distribution licensee under the conditions of this agreement from the date of energisation of connection or intimation is sent to him in writing by the distribution licensee that the supply of electrical energy to the full extent of the Contracted Load is available under this agreement, which ever is earlier.


More Definitions of Contracted Load

Contracted Load means the load specified in the agreement between the consumer and the Licensee engaged in the business of supplying electricity to him.
Contracted Load means maximum electrical load in KW, KVA or BHP agreed to be supplied by the Licensee which may be different than connected load and reflected in the agreement between the parties. It shall be rounded off to next higher number. Wherever the wordsanctioned load’ is used, it shall mean contracted load or vice versa.

Contracted Load or “Contract demand” means aggregate of the manufacturer’s rating of all energy consuming devices, in the consumer’s premises, which can be simultaneously used. In case manufacturer-rating plate is not available, the Licensee shall measure actual load of the device. This shall be expressed in KW, KVA or BHP units and shall be determined as per the procedure laid down by the Commission in the UPERC (Electricity Supply Code) Regulations 2005 and subsequent amendments thereof;
