COVID-19 Vaccines definition

COVID-19 Vaccines means any COVID-19 vaccine that has U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval or has been granted an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA.
COVID-19 Vaccines means a vaccine that has been scientifically evaluated and recommended by the WHO and approved by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority¹ to be effective in preventing severe disease and death, and likely to reduce SARS-CoV-2 viral transmission in order to contribute to herd immunity; established in terms of section 2 of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 101 of 1965
COVID-19 Vaccines or “Vaccines” (in upper or lower case) means such brand of COVID-19 Vaccines to be announced by the Government from time to time for the purpose of COVID-19 Vaccination Programme for School Outreach at Primary School and Kindergarten/ CCC.

COVID-19 Vaccines means any COVID-19 vaccine approved by SAHPRA for use in South Africa in terms of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, No. 101 of 1965;

  • COVID-19 means SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, and any evolutions thereof or related or associated epidemics, pandemic or disease outbreaks.

  • COVID-19 symptoms means fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, unless a licensed health care professional determines the person’s symptoms were caused by a known condition other than COVID-19.

  • COVID-19 Pandemic means the epidemic, pandemic or disease outbreak associated with COVID-19.

  • Vaccine means a specially prepared antigen which, upon administration to a person, will result in immunity and, specifically for the purposes of this rule, shall mean influenza and pneumococcal vaccines.

  • NEC Electronics products means any product developed or manufactured by or for NEC Electronics (as defined above).

  • HEPA filter means high-efficiency particulate air filters that are rated to achieve a minimum initial particle-removal efficiency of 99.97 per cent using ASTM F 1471– 93 or equivalent standard;

  • Medical cannabis pharmacy means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Nuclear medicine technologist means an individual who holds a current certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • coronavirus means severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2);

  • Oxides of nitrogen means the sum of the volume mixing ratio (ppbv) of nitrogen monoxide (nitric oxide) and nitrogen dioxide expressed in units of mass concentration of nitrogen dioxide (μg/m3);

  • Medical cannabis card means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Brachytherapy source means a radioactive source or a manufacturer-assembled source train or a combination of these sources that is designed to deliver a therapeutic dose within a distance of a few centimeters.

  • Diagnostic Service means an examination or procedure performed to obtain information regarding the medical condition of an outpatient.

  • TMDL means the total maximum daily load limitation of a parameter, representing the estimated assimilative capacity for a water body before other designated uses are adversely affected. Mathematically, it is the sum of wasteload allocations for point sources, load allocations for non-point and natural background sources, and a margin of safety.

  • Genetic services means a genetic test, genetic counseling (including obtaining, interpreting, or assessing genetic information), or genetic education.
