Cross appointment definition

Cross appointment means appointment of a continuing regular member of an academic unit (the “primary unit”), made for a renewable limited term to a second academic unit (the “secondary unit”), where the salary costs are borne in their entirety by the primary unit, and carrying with it no obligation to undertake service commitments in the secondary unit.
