Cutting or removal of trees definition

Cutting or removal of trees means the removal of one (1) or more trees, trimming of major branches or cutting of roots.
Cutting or removal of trees means the removal of one or more trees, trimming of major branches, or cutting of roots sufficient in the City Forester’s written opinion to cause eventual destruction of a tree.

Cutting or removal of trees means the destruction of one or more trees having a trunk diameter of four (4) inches or more measured one (1) foot from the ground, trimming of major branches or trimming of roots sufficient in the Tree Warden's opinion to cause eventual destruction of a tree. Not included in this definition is the routine or emergency maintenance which removes only permanently diseased or damaged limbs, trunks, or roots, and dead whole trees.
Cutting or removal of trees means the removal of one or more trees and/or the removal of tree limbs having a diameter greater than 4 inches.

Nor does this definition apply to trimming work, including cutting of major branches, by the Town’s Utilities or Public Works Department, provided that the Planning Board has reviewed the proposed work and determined it to be in accordance with good practices. However, the removal of whole, live trees by the Utilities or Public Works Departments is included in this definition.
