Day Case definition

Day Case means a surgical procedure, Non-surgical Cancer Treatment and kidney dialysis (if applicable under this contract) which may effectively be undertaken at a clinic or day-case unit of a Hospital by a Registered Medical Practitioner where an overnight stay in Hospital is not Medically Necessary provided that the surgical procedure falls under the Schedule of Surgical Operations and is classified as Day Case therein.
Day Case means being admitted for treatment at a recognised and duly registered medical facility where a MEMBER is admitted and occupies a bed, but does not remain overnight.

Examples of Day Case in a sentence

  • This benefit shall be payable for the Eligible Expenses charged on miscellaneous charges where the Insured Person is Confined in a Hospital or on the day he undergoes any Day Case Procedure for receiving Medical Services.

  • This benefit shall be payable for the Eligible Expenses charged by the Hospital on the cost of accommodation and meals where the Insured Person is Confined in a Hospital or undergoes any Day Case Procedure or Prescribed Non-surgical Cancer Treatment.

  • This benefit shall only be payable for the Eligible Expenses for outpatient visit or Emergency consultation (including but not limited to consultation, western medication prescribed or diagnostic test) not resulting in a Confinement or Day Case Procedure.

  • In an event that an Insured Person undergoes a Day Case Procedure which is payable in accordance to these Terms and Benefits, this benefit shall be payable in the amount as specified in the Benefit Schedule irrespective of the amount of Eligible Expenses reimbursed under any other benefit items of the Terms and Benefits, subject to the limits as specified in the Benefit Schedule.

  • If Surgeon’s fee under Section 3(f) of Part 6 of the Terms and Conditions is payable, in addition to such Eligible Expenses, this benefit shall be payable for any day if the surgical procedure is performed in a setting for providing Medical Services to a Day Patient and is any of the designated Day Case Procedures.

  • The Company will only pay this benefit once per Policy Year, regardless of the number of Day Case Procedures performed on the Insured Person during that Policy Year.

  • This benefit shall be payable on daily basis regardless of the number of designated Day Case Procedures performed on the same day.

  • A patient is added to an Inpatient or Day Case waiting list, having been given a date to come in at the time the decision to admit was made.

  • For booking and Management of Inpatient and Daycase Admissions, all Trust staff should adhere to the Inpatient and Day Case General Principles found in the Inpatient and Day Case General Principles SOP on the Trusts individual Intranets.

  • A patient is added to an Inpatient or Day Case waiting list having been given no date of admission at the time a decision was made to admit.

Related to Day Case

  • Day Case Procedure means a Medically Necessary surgical procedure for investigation or treatment to the Insured Person performed in a medical clinic, or day case procedure centre or Hospital with facilities for recovery as a Day Patient.

  • COVID-19 case means a person who:

  • Contested case means a proceeding defined by Iowa Code section 17A.2(5) and includes any matter defined as a no factual dispute contested case under 1998 Iowa Acts, chapter 1202, section 14.

  • Bankruptcy Case has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 2.05(b).

  • Business Case means the written reasoning behind the initiation of a Procurement Project, prepared in the form set out in Part 1 of the Procurement Project Plan at Appendix A of the Procurement Project Planning Protocol.

  • Day care facility means a child care facility that includes a day care home, preschool, child care center, school-age program or other facility of a type determined by the secretary to require regulation under the provisions of K.S.A. 65-501 et seq., and amendments thereto.

  • Bankruptcy Cases has the meaning set forth in the Recitals.

  • Contested case hearing means a proceeding before the Authority under the Administrative Procedures Act when any of the following contests an adverse determination, action, or as it relates to an MCE enrollee, an adverse benefit determination:

  • Poverty line means the nonfarm federal poverty line for the continental United States, as defined by the federal department of labor under 42 USC 9902 (2).

  • Pricing Rate Period means, with respect to any Transaction and any Remittance Date (a) in the case of the first Pricing Rate Period, the period commencing on and including the Purchase Date for such Transaction and ending on and excluding the following Remittance Date, and (b) in the case of any subsequent Pricing Rate Period, the period commencing on and including the immediately preceding Remittance Date and ending on and excluding such Remittance Date; provided, however, that in no event shall any Pricing Rate Period for a Purchased Asset end subsequent to the Repurchase Date for such Purchased Asset.

  • Transaction Category means the particular type of repurchase transaction effected hereunder, as determined with reference to the term of the transaction and the categories of Securities that constitute Eligible Securities therefor, which term shall include FICASH I Transactions, FICASH II Transactions, FICASH III Transactions, FITERM I Transactions, FITERM II Transactions, FITERM III Transactions, and such other transaction categories as may from time to time be designated by the Funds by notice to Seller, Custodian and Repo Custodian.

  • Chapter 11 Case has the meaning set forth in the Recitals.

  • Applicable Business Day Convention means the “Business Day Convention” which may be specified in the Final Terms as applicable to any date in respect of the Instruments. Where the Final Terms specifies “No Adjustment” in relation to any date, such date shall not be adjusted in accordance with any Business Day Convention. Where the Final Terms fails either to specify an applicable Business Day Convention or “No Adjustment” for the purposes of an Interest Payment Date or an Interest Period End Date, then in the case of Instruments which bear interest at a fixed rate, “No Adjustment” shall be deemed to have been so specified and in the case of Instruments which bear interest at a floating rate, the Modified Following Business Day Convention shall be deemed to have been so specified. Different Business Day Conventions may apply, or be specified in relation to, the Interest Payment Dates, Interest Period End Dates and any other date or dates in respect of any Instruments.

  • Federal poverty level means the poverty level as defined by the most recently revised poverty income guidelines published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services in the Federal Register.

  • Base Case A statement of the technical, economic and tax assumptions relating to the Project in the form of a run of the Financial Model as updated from time to time.

  • Preceding Business Day Convention means that the relevant date shall be brought forward to the first preceding day that is a Business Day;
