Eligible Dependent Care Expenses definition

Eligible Dependent Care Expenses. (for purposes of this Section IX) shall mean expenses incurred by a Participant which are:

Examples of Eligible Dependent Care Expenses in a sentence

  • Any amounts remaining to the credit of the Participant at the end of the Plan Year and not used for Eligible Dependent Care Expenses incurred during the Plan Year shall be forfeited and remain assets of the Plan.

  • Claims for reimbursement of Eligible Dependent Care Expenses must be submitted no later than the last day of the third month following the last day of the Plan Year during which the Eligible Dependent Care Expenses were incurred.

  • In addition, no more than 25 percent of the aggregate Eligible Dependent Care Expenses shall be reimbursed during a Plan Year to five percent owners, as provided in Code Section 129.

  • The Reimbursement Recordkeeper shall maintain a record of each account on an on-going basis, increasing the balances as contributions are credited during the year and decreasing the balances as Eligible Dependent Care Expenses are reimbursed.

Eligible Dependent Care Expenses means expenses for qualifying dependent care services incurred by the participant or the participant's spouse, or the cost of sending a child of the participant to a qualified day care center or qualified caregiver.]
Eligible Dependent Care Expenses. (for purposes of this Article VI) means expenses incurred by a Participant that are:
Eligible Dependent Care Expenses shall not include expenses incurred for services outside the Participant’s household for the care of a Dependent unless such Dependent is (i) a qualifying child (as defined in Code Section 152(c)) under the age of 13, or (ii) a Dependent (qualifying child or qualifying relative, as defined in Code Section 152(c) and (d), respectively)), who is physically or mentally incapable of self-care, who has the same principal place of abode as the Participant for more than half of the taxable year, and who regularly spends at least eight hours each day in the Participant’s household, or (iii) the spouse of a Participant who is physically or mentally incapable of self-care, who has the same principal place of abode as the Participant for more than half of the taxable year, and who regularly spends at least eight hours each day in the Participant’s household. Eligible Dependent Care Expenses shall be deemed to be incurred at the time the services to which the expenses relate are rendered.

Related to Eligible Dependent Care Expenses

  • Eligible Dependent means a child of an Eligible Retiree who satisfies the requirements for eligibility described in the Eligibility section of this document.

  • Medical Expenses means those expenses that an Insured Person has necessarily and actually incurred for medical treatment on account of Illness or Accident on the advice of a Medical Practitioner, as long as these are no more than would have been payable if the Insured Person had not been insured and no more than other hospitals or doctors in the same locality would have charged for the same medical treatment.

  • Covered Expenses means expenses actually incurred by or on behalf of a Covered Person for treatment, services and supplies covered by the Policy. Coverage under the Participating Organization’s Policy must remain continuously in force from the date of the Covered Accident or Sickness until the date treatment, services or supplies are received for them to be a Covered Expense. A Covered Expense is deemed to be incurred on the date such treatment, service or supply, that gave rise to the expense or the charge, was rendered or obtained.

  • Routine patient care costs means Covered Medical Expenses which are typically provided absent a clinical trial and not otherwise excluded under the Policy. Routine patient care costs do not include:

  • Dependent adult means a person 18 years of age or older who is unable to protect the person’s own interests or unable to adequately perform or obtain services necessary to meet essential human needs, as a result of a physical or mental condition which requires assistance from another.

  • Dependent child means a child residing in an individual’s household who may legally be claimed as a dependent on the federal income tax of such individual.

  • Eligible Expenses means expenses incurred for Medical Services rendered with respect to a Disability.

  • Travel Expenses means any costs incurred by Licensor associated with the transportation, storage or lodging of equipment, supplies, Licensor employees and other items necessary for business use from Licensor headquarters to Licensee’s facilities. Travel expenses may include, but are not limited to airfare, hotel costs, and meals if applicable. Any travel expenses paid by the Licensee shall be paid at allowable government travel rates consistent with Management Directive 230.10, unless otherwise first approved by the Licensee’s authorized representative.

  • Inpatient care means treatment for which the insured person has to stay in a hospital for more than 24 hours for a covered event.

  • Covered Dependent means a Dependent whose coverage is in effect. It does not include a Dependent whose coverage has ended.

  • Reimbursable Expenses means all assignment-related costs [such as travel, translation, report printing, secretarial expenses, subject to specified maximum limits in the Contract].
