Emergency Ambulance means an ambulance service that consists of transporting a seriously ill person to a Hospital by a State Government Ambulance Service or an ambulance service recognised by CBHS in order to receive urgently needed treatment. This includes transportation from the scene of an Accident or the scene of a medical event such as a heart attack or stroke but does not include transportation to Hospital for the routine management of an ongoing medical condition or transportation between hospitals.
Emergency Ambulance means a ground conveyance that is used or intended to be used for transport, by land, of any Emergency patient.

Emergency Ambulance means an ambulance permitted pursuant to Riverside County Ambulance Ordinance 756 and operated by a REMSA-authorized EOA or Non-EOA emergency ambulance provider as identified in the County EMS Plan.

  • Air ambulance means any aircraft specifically constructed, modified, or equipped and used for the primary purpose of responding to emergency calls and transporting critically ill or injured patients whose medical flight crew has at a minimum two attendants certified or licensed in advanced life support.

Explosives or munitions emergency response specialists include Department of Defense (DOD) emergency explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), technical escort unit (TEU), and DOD-certified civilian or contractor personnel; and other Federal, State, or local government, or civilian personnel similarly trained in explosives or munitions emergency responses.

  • Emergency responder means an individual who is required to possess a license, certificate, permit, or other official recognition for his or her expertise in a particular field or area of knowledge and whose assistance is utilized or is desirable during an emergency. Emergency responder includes, but is not limited to, emergency medical services personnel; physicians; nurses; mental health, veterinary, or other public health practitioners; emergency management personnel; public works personnel; and firefighters, including firefighters trained in the areas of hazardous materials, specialized rescue, extrication, water rescue, or other specialized area. Emergency responder does not include law enforcement officers or other law enforcement personnel.

  • Emergency procurement means an acquisition resulting from an emergency need.

  • Ambulance service means an entity, its personnel and equipment including, but not limited to, automobiles, airplanes, boats or helicopters, which are licensed to provide Emergency medical and Ambulance services in the state in which the services are rendered.
