Engaged in or engaging in violent criminal activity - means any act within the past 3 years by an applicant or participant or household member which involved criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage, which resulted in the arrest and/or conviction of the applicant, participant, or household member.
Engaged in or engaging in violent criminal activity means any act by applicants or participants, household members, or guests involving acts of criminal activity that has as one or more of its these elements: the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against the person of another, which did or did not result in the arrest and/or conviction of the applicant or participant, household members, guests, or live-in aide.

KHC will use the arrest date of the violent criminal activity charge to determine the three-year period time frame when denying or terminating assistance for such charges.
