The parties hereto mutually agree that the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Chief Training Officer, Chief Fire Prevention Officer and Assistant Fire Chiefs are expressly excluded from the terms and conditions of this subsection, and it is further mutually agreed that the said Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Chief Training Officer, Chief Fire Prevention Officer and Assistant Fire Chiefs are excluded from any and all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
The successful applicant shall enter the position at their current rate of pay to a maximum of a 1st Class Fire Fighter but in no event less than the start rate for a Fire Prevention Officer.
The Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief shall establish an on call list which ensures a Fire Prevention Officer, who is qualified to conduct fire investigations, shall be on call to conduct fire investigations at all times outside normal working hours as requested by the Platoon Chief.
An additional exception are employees in the class of Recreation/Community Programs Coordinator who work as scheduled by the Parks and Community Services Department to meet recreation program needs, Neighborhood Outreach Coordinator and Neighborhood Outreach Assistant who work as scheduled by the Neighborhood Revitalization Department to meet neighborhood outreach needs, and Animal Control Officer and Fire Prevention Officer, who's shift shall vary depending upon need.
Chief Fire Prevention Officer shall be responsible to the Chief of the Department, for all work of the Division and shall see that all buildings, stores, offices, apartments, etc., are regularly inspected, that records are kept of same and shall report to the Chief any existing hazards found on such inspections made personally or by other members of the Division.
