Hazardous Cargo definition

Hazardous Cargo means Cargo of any kind classified by the International Maritime Organisation as hazardous cargo and shall include "dangerous goods" as defined in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code;

Examples of Hazardous Cargo in a sentence

  • All shipments of Hazardous cargo as defined in this Rule, when accepted and transported by Carrier will be subject to the Hazardous Cargo Surcharge named in the NRA governed by this Tariff (if any), which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.

  • All commodities which the office of the Federal Register in their publication entitled "Code of Federal Regulations (46 CFR 146.01-1) - Transportation or Storage of Explosives or other Dangerous Articles or Substances, and Combustible Liquids on board Vessels" prescribed to be carried on cargo vessels on deck only, either in the open or under cover, shall be charged the Dangerous or Hazardous Cargo, NRA; except where a specific NRA is provided for in this tariff.

  • A standard shipping note or dangerous goods note in respect of Hazardous Cargo must be clearly endorsed to that effect and the User shall provide all information, including the IMDG Class and the UN number, necessary for Operator to perform its obligation in connection with such Hazardous Cargo in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and/or requirements.

  • Hazardous Cargo means Cargo of any kind which is or may become dangerous (whether or not so listed in any applicable law, regulations, codes or requirements), inflammable, damaging, injurious (including radioactive materials), toxic, noxious, liable to give off injurious gas, fumes or liquid or which is or may become liable to contaminate, injure, pollute or damage or be a nuisance to the environment, any property and/or person whatsoever.

  • The particulars shall include, but shall not be limited to information relating to Hazardous Cargo, OOG cargo, Reefer cargo and Dutiable Cargo contained in or intended to be contained in a Container.


More Definitions of Hazardous Cargo

Hazardous Cargo means any Cargo that can harm people, other living organisms, property, or the environment, including materials which are radioactive, flammable, explosive, corrosive, oxidizing, asphyxiating, biohazardous, toxic, pathogenic or allergenic, in each case categorized as such by IMO, ADR or RID;
Hazardous Cargo means any cargo as is defined in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code/IMO.
Hazardous Cargo means Cargo of any kind classified by the International Maritime Organisation or International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code as hazardous.
Hazardous Cargo means any Cargo containing a substance or material that is listed, defined or otherwise designated as: (a) “Hazardous Substance” in this Tariff or under any applicable laws; (b) any chemical; (c) any hydrocarbons, petroleum, petroleum products or waste; (d) any metabolite or chemical breakdown product or derivative or component part of substances identified above; and (e) any other chemical, substance or waste, that is regulated by, or may form the basis of liability under, any applicable laws. Hazardous Substances – means any contaminant, pollutant, dangerous substance, dangerous goods, waste, liquid waste, industrial waste, hauled liquid waste, special waste, hazardous material or hazardous substance as defined pursuant to any Environmental Law. Heavy & Static Cargo – means any and all types of: wheeled or tracked units of Cargo, excluding Automobiles, able to be moved on the Berth Corridor and loaded or discharged from Vessels by rolling either self-propelled or towable; boxed, crated, palletized or other units of Cargo that require any form of lifting for loading or discharge from the Vessel or an Inland Carrier unit, including but not limited to heavy trucks and equipment, agricultural equipment, other tracked or wheeled units, machinery, transformers and any and all similar types of Cargo. Import/ Inbound – shall have the meaning as set forth in the Fee Schedule. Inland Carrier – means railway company, rail carrier, truck carrier, cartage company, tug and barge company operating within the coastal and/or inland waters of British Columbia, a private carrier, or any other transport vehicle that receives or delivers Cargo discharged from or to be loaded onto a Vessel at the Berth Corridor. LOA – shall have the meaning as set forth in the Fee Schedule. M.T. – means that the number of Tonnes is calculated by measurement, in cubic meters, and equals 1,000 kilograms, or 2,204.6 pounds, or 1.1023 short tons, or 0.9842 long tons. MTS Act – shall have the meaning as set forth in Subsection 10.1 MTS Regulations – shall have the meaning as set forth in Subsection 10.1 M/E – means that the charge is based on man-hour rates and charges for equipment rental, as set out in this Tariff. Non-Working Period – shall have the meaning as set forth in the Fee Schedule. Notice – shall have the meaning as set forth in Subsection 4.10.
Hazardous Cargo means cargo, which is or may be explosive, flammable, toxic, health threatening or environment polluting;
Hazardous Cargo means any cargo or commodity properly classified
Hazardous Cargo means the products covered by the IMDG code.
