Hearing on appeal means a hearing conducted after a Notice of Disagree- ment has been filed in which argument and/or testimony is presented con- cerning the determination, or deter- minations, by the agency of original jurisdiction being appealed.(j) La student means an individual pursuing a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree at a school approved by a recog- nized accrediting association.(k) Legal intern means a graduate of a law school, which has been approved by a recognized accrediting association, who has not yet been admitted to a State bar.(l) Motion means a request that the Board rule on some question which is subsidiary to the ultimate decision on the outcome of an appeal. Hearing on appeal. The Grantee shall have the right to appeal any determination to terminate made by the Department; however, if the Grantee has failed to submit its appeal, in writing, within ten (10) calendar days from written notice of the termination and/or has failed to request and receive approval from the Department for extension of such, then the Grantee shall have no further right of appeal. A hearing shall be conducted at the Department’s offices in Montgomery, Alabama, or any other appropriate location at the Department’s discretion, with a written notification of the time, place, and subject matter by the Department to the Grantee.
