Home Occupations definition

Home Occupations means an accessory use consisting of any occupation or profession carried on by a member of the family residing on the premises; provided that in connection with such occupation or profession, no sign other than one non-illuminated sign, no larger than one square foot in area is used, which sign is attached to the building; that nothing is done to make the building or premises appear in any way as anything but a dwelling; that no products are sold except those prepared on the premises; that no one is employed from outside the family residing on the premises; and that no mechanical equipment is used other than that which is permissible for purely domestic or household purposes.
Home Occupations means any occupation, trade, profession, or craft carried on by an occupant of a residential building as a use secondary to the residential use of the building. This shall not include any cannabis retail sales or cannabis production and distribution; Amended by Bylaw #136/18.

Home Occupations means any business, professions, occupations or trade conducted for gain or support within a residential building or an accessory structure thereto, which is incidental and secondary to the use of such a building for dwelling, purposes and which does not change the essential character of such building.
