Home Video definition

Home Video means productions made for non-theatrical release.
Home Video means the delivery of programming to consumers (i) by means of a video cassette, video disk, or any other physical device now known or hereafter invented on which a program is recorded, encrypted or otherwise contained on such physical device at the time such physical device is obtained by the viewer, whereby a program is displayed on a television receiver, computer or any comparable equipment now known or hereafter invented, with such physical device located in the immediate presence of the viewer, or (ii) by means of so-called “electronic sell-through.”
Home Video means the distribution, licensing, sale, rental and/or exploitation via any analog or digital medium (e.g., without limitation, video cassettes, DVDs, digital videodiscs, compact videodiscs or in any other analogous format now known or hereafter invented), for private viewing of the visual images and synchronized audio-track by means of playback device which causes a visual image on the screen of a television receiver, computer or comparable device, where both the playback device and the receiver are located in the same location.

  • Effective immediately through March 31, 2013, the Current PPV Licensor Share for all Current PPV Programs made available on the same day as their respective Home Video Street Dates shall be 60%.

Home Video means Home Video Rental and Home Video SellThru exploitation of a Motion Picture.
Home Video means the exploitation of a motion picture embodied in a Physical Medium that is rented or sold for the sole purpose of private viewing where no admission fee is charged with respect to such viewing. In addition, for the purposes of this Amended & Restated Amendment, Home Video shall expressly include Sell-Through Electronic Video, Manufacture-On-Demand, and In-Store Digital Download.
Home Video means the sale and/or rental (and the promotion thereof) of videotape cassettes, laserdiscs, DVD’s, CD ROM’s or similar physical devices for private, personal use by individuals in their private residences; and
Home Video means the providing of motion pictures and other programming to members of the general public by means of the temporary or permanent transfer of physical possession of a VHS videocassette for non-public viewing on a home television receiver.
Home Video as used herein means (i) with respect to any Included Program that Amazon is authorized to distribute solely in Standard Definition, a physically delivered standard definition home video format version thereof (e.g., a DVD, and whenever the term “DVD” is used in this Agreement, such term shall be deemed to mean a DVD or any other Home Video in Standard Definition format) and (ii) with respect to any Included Program that Amazon is authorized to distribute in [Approved 4K Resolution or] High Definition, a physically delivered high definition home video format version thereof (e.g., a Blu-ray disc and, whenever the term “Blu-ray disc” is used in this Agreement, such term shall be deemed to mean a Blu-ray disc or any other Home Video in High Definition format).
Home Video means the exploitation of a motion picture embodied in a Physical Medium that is rented or sold for the sole purpose of private viewing where no admission fee is charged with respect to such viewing. In addition, for the purposes of this Agreement, Home Video shall expressly include manufacture-on-demand (a motion picture Physical Medium manufactured to order), and in-store digital download (download for a per-picture transaction charge at a fixed location separate from the consumer’s residence (e.g., kiosk in retail store) to a storage device). Home Video shall also include any digital entitlements (including digital or electronic copies) to a motion picture that are granted to or otherwise offered to any purchaser of a Physical Medium embodying such motion picture (e.g., UltraViolet, digital copy, disc-to digital, “virtual locker”/”sky locker” or similar rights) and such digital entitlements shall be treated, for purposes of this Agreement, the same as the Physical Medium for such motion picture; provided, that if Licensor controls the marketing for such entitlements, it shall not market such entitlements as “free” (or similar wording) that indicates that the consumer is obtaining such digital entitlements for no consideration. For the avoidance of doubt, the digital entitlements described in the immediately preceding sentence shall not constitute VOD/TVOD/PPV, Home Theater or EST.
Home Video means the exploitation of a motion picture embodied in a Physical Medium that is rented or sold for the sole purpose of private viewing where no admission fee is charged with respect to such viewing. In addition, for the purposes of this Amended & Restated Amendment, Home Video shall expressly include Sell-Through Electronic Video, Manufacture-On-Demand, and In-Store Digital Download. Home Video shall also include any digital entitlements (including digital or electronic copies) to a motion picture that are granted to or otherwise offered to any purchaser or owner of a Physical Medium embodying such motion picture (e.g., Ultraviolet, disc-to-digital conversion, digital copy, “virtual locker”/”sky locker” or similar rights) and such digital entitlements shall be treated, for purposes of this Amendment & Restated Amendment, the same as the Physical Medium for such motion picture and such digital entitlements shall not constitute Pay-Per-View, Video-On-Demand, Home Theater, In-Store Digital Download or, except as otherwise set forth in this Amended & Restated Amendment, Sell-Through Electronic Video.
