Hospital Seniority definition

Hospital Seniority means the bargaining unit employee’s length of service with the Hospital (and predecessor KUMC unless there has been a break in service of one year or more).
Hospital Seniority means the Registered Nurse’s continuous employment with the Employer since the Registered Nurse’s most recent hire date, less any unpaid authorized absence from work in excess of thirty (30) calendar days, excluding approved FMLA/CFRA time.
Hospital Seniority. Hospital Seniority shall be defined as the length of time an employee has worked continuously since his/her most recent date of hire with the Hospital. Per Diem Seniority: As of May 29, 1998 Bargaining Unit Seniority shall be based upon hours worked.

Examples of Hospital Seniority in a sentence

  • At Oregon State Hospital: Seniority includes continuous service at Oregon State Hospital and Dammasch State Hospital.

  • When two (2) or more nurses have the same Bargaining Unit Seniority, their place on the seniority list shall be determined by Hospital Seniority.

  • Unless otherwise specifically indicated, Hospital Seniority shall apply in the computation and determination of eligibility for all benefits where length of service is a factor.

  • The amount of experience credit granted to an eligible existing Employee under this section shall not exceed the difference obtained by subtracting (i) the Hospital Seniority of the eligible existing Employee as of the new Employee’s first day of employment, from (ii) the amount of experience credit granted to the new Employee.

  • Hospital Seniority shall be retroactive to the date of last hire.

  • If more employees volunteer for the vacant shift than the Hospital needs, selection will be made on a rotating basis beginning with the most senior bargaining unit employee in the Department based on Bargaining Unit Seniority, or in the event of a tie, Hospital Seniority shall prevail.

  • The Hospital Seniority of eligible existing Employees shall be less than the amount of experience credit for pay purposes granted to the new Employee; Existing Employees who do not meet these eligibility requirements shall not be eligible for experience credit.

  • For example, if the Hospital grants 30 months of experience credit for pay purposes to a new Employee, existing Employees with 30 or more months of Hospital Seniority shall not be eligible for experience credit under this section.

  • Employees placed on the Recall List will be called back based on University Hospital Seniority.

  • For example, if an eligible existing Employee has 18 months of Hospital Seniority, and a new Employee is granted 30 months of experience credit for pay purposes, the eligible existing Employee shall be granted up to a maximum of 12 months of experience credit for pay purposes.

Related to Hospital Seniority

  • Hospital pharmacist means an Iowa-licensed pharmacist who meets the requirements for participating in a hospital practice protocol as determined by the hospital’s P&T committee.
