immigration officer means any person who is an immigration officer as defined in section 2 of the Immigration Act [Chapter 4:02];
Interview means the questioning of an officer who is the subject of a complaint pursuant to the formal administrative investigation procedures of the investigating agency, if such a complaint may be the basis for seeking removal, discharge, or suspension, or other disciplinary action against the officer. “Interview” does not include questioning as part of any informal inquiry or questioning related to minor infractions of agency rules which will not result in removal, discharge, suspension, or other disciplinary action against the officer.
New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired classified employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.
Immigrant means a person who enters the country with the expectation of legally residing in the United States of America rather than returning to the person’s country of origin.
Purchaser Personnel means the Purchasers’, and each Purchaser’s Affiliates’, officers, directors (or their equivalent), employees, agents, and contractors of any kind.
Title IX Personnel means any person who addresses, works on, or assists with the school district’s response to a report of sexual harassment or formal complaint, and includes persons who facilitate informal resolutions. The following are considered Title IX Personnel:
Shift Worker means a worker who is not a day worker as defined.
Parent counseling and training means assisting parents in understanding the special needs of their child and providing parents with information about child development, and helping parents to acquire the necessary skills that will allow them to support the implementation of their child's IEP.
Training means instruction or teaching designed to impart a specific skill, as opposed to general knowledge.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children means: • Protecting children from maltreatment• Preventing impairment of children’s mental or physical health or development• Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care• Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
Orientation means any introductory instruction into a new practice environment or employment situation where being a nurse is a requirement of employment or where the individual uses any title or abbreviation indicating that the individual is a nurse. Orientation is considered the practice of nursing in this State.
Volunteer worker means a person who is not your "employee", and who donates his or her work and acts at the direction of and within the scope of duties determined by you, and is not paid a fee, salary or other compensation by you or anyone else for their work performed for you.
Trainer means a dentist whose name is included in sub-part A of the first part of the dental list who employs a trainee as an assistant in accordance with paragraph 2 of this Determination;
Company Personnel means any current or former officer, employee, director or consultant of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.
Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.
School personnel means professional employee or professional’s delegate of the school district who provides health, educational, social, psychological, law enforcement, or child care services.
School nurse means a registered professional nurse with Maine Department of Education certification for school nursing.
Stakeholder means a person who owns shares in the company and is actively involved in the management of the company or business and exercises control over the company.
Contractor employee means prime Contractor and subcontractor employees who require agency access to perform work under a CMS contract.
Cultural Competence means the ability to recognize and respond to health-related beliefs and cultural values, disease incidence and prevalence, and treatment efficacy. Examples of cultural competent care include striving to overcome cultural, language, and communications barriers, providing an environment in which individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds feel comfortable discussing their cultural health beliefs and practices in the context of negotiating treatment options, encouraging individuals to express their spiritual beliefs and cultural practices, and being familiar with and respectful of various traditional healing systems and beliefs and, where appropriate, integrating these approaches into treatment plans.
Aging and People with Disabilities (APD means the program area of Aging and People with Disabilities, within the Department of Human Services.
Public safety employee means a public employee who is employed as one of the following:
Training hour means at least 50 minutes of actual learning, including, but not limited to, time devoted to lecture, learning activities, small group activities, demonstrations, evaluations, and hands-on experience.
Support personnel means the staffs that support the Key Personnel.
Qualifying Examination means examinations on the basis of which a candidate becomes eligible for admission or its equivalent examination;
Benefits Specialist means a specialized position that would primarily be responsible for coordinating Client applications and appeals for State and Federal benefits.
