Inception of the loss definition

Inception of the loss in sub. (1) (a) means the date on which the loss occurs, not the discovery date. Borgen v. Economy Preferred Ins. Co. 176 Wis. 2d 498, 500 N.W.2d 176 (Ct. App. 1993).

  • Loss or “Losses” means any and all losses, costs (including court costs), claims, damages (including fines, penalties, or civil judgments and settlements), injuries, liabilities and expenses (including attorneys’ fees).
