Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit definition

Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit means a section within a Hospital which is designated as an Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit by the Hospital, and which is maintained on a twenty-four (24) hour basis solely for treatment of patients in critical condition and is equipped to provide special nursing and medical services not available elsewhere in the Hospital.

  • The Takaful Operator will pay the Participant Double Accidental Daily Hospital Income Benefit as specified in the Certificate of Takaful for each twenty-four (24) hours that the Participant is confined in an Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit during the Period of Takaful for the treatment of the Covered Bodily Injury sustained, less any indebtedness against the Certificate.

  • The Takaful Operator will pay the Participant the Double Accident Daily Hospital Income Benefit as specified in the Certificate of Takaful for each full day (24 hours) that the Participant is confined in an Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit during the Period of Takaful for the treatment of the Covered Bodily Injury sustained, less any indebtedness against the Certificate.

  • Maximum benefit payment shall be 50% of the specialized Physician’s reason- able charge with a limit of one visit per hospital confinement.In the event of confinement in an Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care Unit, Physi- cian’s (Specialist/Consultant) charges for visits while so confined shall be payable at 50% of the Physician’s reasonable fee.

  • Intensive Care Unit means an identified section, ward or wing of a hospital which is under the constant supervision of a dedicated medical practitioner(s), and which is specially equipped for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients who are in a critical condition, or require life support facilities and where the level of care and supervision is considerably more sophisticated and intensive than in the ordinary and other wards.

  • Non-Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has not been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • child care element of working tax credit means the element of working tax credit prescribed under section 12 of the Tax Credits Act 2002 (child care element).

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Primary care physician means a physician qualified to be an attending physician according to ORS 656.005(12)(b)(A) and who is a general practitioner, family practitioner, or internal medicine practitioner.

  • Primary Care Provider (PCP) means a health care professional who is contracted with BCBSAZ as a PCP and generally specializes in or focuses on the following practice areas: internal medicine, family practice, general practice, pediatrics or any other classification of provider approved as a PCP by BCBSAZ. Your benefit plan does not require you to have a PCP or to have a PCP authorize specialist referrals.

  • Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Prosthetic Provider means a Prosthetic Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
