Intervention means a form of educational communication utilized by the Board with a prescriber or pharmacist to inform about or to influence prescribing or dispensing practices.
Crisis intervention means the implementation of a service, support, or strategy to immediately stabilize a crisis and prevent the crisis from reoccurring after the crisis ends.
Behavioral intervention means the implementation of strategies to address behavior that is dangerous, disruptive, or otherwise impedes the learning of a student or others.
Early intervention means action to hinder or alter a per- son’s mental disorder or abuse of alcohol or other drugs in order to reduce the duration of early symptoms or to reduce the duration or severity of mental illness or alcohol or other drug abuse that may result.
Criminal proceeding means a proceeding instituted by means of the swearing of an information, the laying of a charge or the return of an indictment, before a Court of competent jurisdiction in Canada with jurisdiction to hear and determine the charges referred to therein, alleging or charging that the "Insured" has contravened the provisions of any Provincial or Federal statute, including the Criminal Code, R.S.C. 1985 ch. C-46 as amended, which creates an offence or crime and which provides for conviction thereunder, whether by way of summary conviction or indictment, and as a result of which the "Insured" is liable to be convicted, fined or sentenced to some form of imprisonment or other punishment.
Official proceeding means any proceeding before a legislative, judicial, administrative, or other governmental agency or official authorized to take evidence under oath and includes any proceeding before a referee, hearing examiner, commissioner, notary, or other person taking testimony or a deposition in connection with an official proceeding.
criminal proceedings means criminal proceedings in relation to which the strict rules of evidence apply;
Early intervention services means individual programmes for children with developmental delays or disabilities, or children at risk of being developmentally delayed or of having a disability, aged 0 to 6 years, aimed at providing assistance to the child and its family in the areas of physical, emotional, social and educational needs.
Proceeding means an action, claim, suit, investigation or proceeding (including, without limitation, an informal investigation or partial proceeding, such as a deposition), whether commenced or threatened.
Judicial Authority means any court, arbitrator, special master, receiver, tribunal or similar body of any kind.
Adjudicative proceeding means the procedure to be followed in contested cases, as set forth in RSA 541-A:31 through RSA 541-A:36.
Institutionalized means a person who is located voluntarily or involuntarily in a hospital, medical treatment facility, nursing home, acute care facility, or mental hospital.
intervener ’ shall mean a person who files a petition to be made an in- tervener pursuant to paragraph (g) of this section and whose petition is ap- proved.
Order and Final Judgment means the order and final judgment of the Court approving the Settlement Agreement, as described in Section II(E)(7) below.
civil proceedings means any proceedings in or before any court or tribunal that are not criminal proceedings;
Professional Judgement shall be defined as judgement that is informed by professional knowledge of curriculum expectations, context, evidence of learning, methods of instruction and assessment, and the criteria and standards that indicate success in student learning. In professional practice, judgement involves a purposeful and systematic thinking process that evolves in terms of accuracy and insight with ongoing reflection and self-correction.
Judicial Branch Entity or “Judicial Branch Entities” means any California superior or appellate court, the Judicial Council of California, and the Habeas Corpus Resource Center.
Court of Appeal means the division of the Supreme Court referred to in section 7(1)(b);
Adjudicatory proceeding means a contested case, a proceeding that may culminate in a contested case, a petition for declaratory order, a petition for expedited resolution of a negotiability dispute, or any other proceeding which may require the board or its designee to issue a decision, order, or ruling.
Official Image means an electronic image of an Eligible Bill, either created in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement or that otherwise complies with the requirements to permit negotiation and clearing of that Eligible Bill in accordance with the by-laws, standards, and Rules of the Canadian Payments Association.
Official written order means an order written on a form provided for that purpose by the United
Litigation means any action, suit or proceeding before any court, mediator, arbitrator or Governmental Authority.
Final Judgment means the Judgment Entered by the Court upon Granting Final Approval of the Settlement.
Judicial Branch Personnel means members, justices, judges, judicial officers, subordinate judicial officers, employees, and agents of a Judicial Branch Entity.
Administrative proceeding means a non-judicial process that is adjudicatory in nature in order to make a determination of fault or liability (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission Administrative Proceedings, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals Proceedings, and Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals Proceedings). This includes administrative proceedings at the Federal and State level but only in connection with performance of a Federal contract or grant. It does not include agency actions such as contract audits, site visits, corrective plans, or inspection of deliverables.
competent person means a person who has, in respect of the work or task to be performed, the required knowledge, training and experience and, where applicable, qualifications, specific to that work or task: Provided that where appropriate qualifications and training are registered in terms of the provisions of the National Qualification Framework Act, 2000 (Act No.67 of 2000), those qualifications and that training must be regarded as the required qualifications and training; and is familiar with the Act and with the applicable regulations made under the Act;
