Examples of Lead Dispatcher in a sentence
Employees assigned to Lead Dispatcher positions shall receive a Lead Dispatcher premium of one dollar and seventy-five cents ($1.75) per hour, payable only for hours actually worked in a Lead Dispatcher assignment.
The probationary period for appointments to Police Dispatcher and Lead Dispatcher shall be for one (1) year.
An employee who is not classified as a Lead Dispatcher or supervisor and who has the proper certification to train other Dispatchers and has been authorized and assigned in writing to conduct such training by the Chief of Police or designee, while actively involved in such training will receive five percent (5%) above their base wage for the period of such assignment.
The City shall provide an additional two and one-half percent (2.5%) of base pay to supervisory employees (Sergeants and Lead Dispatcher) who possess the Supervisory POST Certificate.
Note 3: Hours will be charged to the Dispatcher / Lead Dispatcher being mandated for the overtime in accordance with lowest hours.
For purposes of this section, the term “appointment,” with reference to the Lead Dispatcher, does not include promotions to that position.
Any person appointed or promoted to a regular position, except appointments to Police Dispatcher and Lead Dispatcher, shall be placed on probation for a period of six (6) months.
With the approval of the Human Resources Director, and upon written notice to the probationer, the probationary period may be extended for up to six (6) months for those on a six-month probation period and for up to one (1) year for any appointments to the Police Dispatcher and Lead Dispatcher classes.
Should there be insufficient personnel to fill the Lead Dispatcher Positions; the employee with the highest seniority shall be assigned to the shift in a dispatcher status.
Note 4: No Dispatcher / Lead Dispatcher shall be forced to work in excess of five (5) consecutive days/nights.
