Lineal ancestor definition

Lineal ancestor means an individual who is in the direct line of ascent including, but not limited to, a parent or grandparent.
Lineal ancestor means an ancestor related to an applicant by direct biological descent, namely the applicant’s parent, grandparent, etc. (Excluding any adopted parents or grandparents, etc.)
Lineal ancestor means a person’s parent, grandparent, great grandparent

  • Lineal Descendant means a child, grandchild, great grandchild, etc., and shall include only lineal descendants by and through birth, or by legal adoption of an individual who has not attained age 18. The term shall also include individuals so born or adopted after the date of this Agreement.

  • Sibling means each of two (2) or more children having a parent in common by blood, adoption, marriage, or foster care.

  • Stepchild means a child of the surviving, deceased, or former spouse of the testator or of the donor of a power of appointment, who is not the testator's or donor's child.

  • Grandparent means the parent of an Employee’s Parent.

  • Relatives means a person, as defined in Section 2(77) of the Companies Act, 2013 and any amendments thereto.

  • Immediate Relative means a spouse of a person, and includes parent, sibling, and child of such person or of the spouse, any of whom is either dependent financially on such person, or consults such person in taking decisions relating to trading in securities;

  • Child means a person under the age of 18 years;

  • Children means all dependants named on a policy (not including spouse).

  • Family Member means spouse, father, mother, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law or son-in-law.

  • Immediate Family Member means a child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law, including adoptive relationships, of a natural person referred to herein.

  • Immediate family means a spouse and any unemancipated child.
