Living Away from Home Allowance definition

Living Away from Home Allowance means an allowance payable weekly. Such allowance shall not be wages. This allowance will be pro-rated per day worked, where an Employee commences or ends employment part way through a week.

Examples of Living Away from Home Allowance in a sentence

  • Employees who are in receipt of Living Away from Home Allowance will be eligible for the allowances provided for in this clause, subject to Appendix H– Living Away from Home Allowance.

  • Where a Distant Worker (other than a casual) who qualifies for payment of Living Away from Home Allowance has been terminated by the Company the Distant Worker shall be entitled to receive a payment equivalent to the accommodation rental charges only incurred by the Distant Worker, up to the value of one (1) weeks Living Away from Home Allowance, subject to the Distant Worker producing proof satisfactory to the Company of costs of accommodation rental charges incurred during the week following termination.

  • The Company shall have the choice of providing each Distant Worker with either suitable board and lodging or paying the Living Away from Home Allowance set out in this Appendix.

  • A Distant Worker who is not provided with board and lodging by the Company will be paid a Living Away from Home Allowance in accordance with the table below.

The amount of Includible Compensation is determined without regard to any community property laws.

  • Living Wage Employee means any and all employees of the Contractor and all Subcontractors of the Contractor that perform any part of the Work on a property owned by or leased to the City, including all streets, sidewalks and other public rights of way, for at least one consecutive hour, but excluding Students, volunteers and employees of Social Enterprises;
