LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;
South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
Mainland China means the People’s Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).
South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
Transportation Company means any organization which provides its own or its leased vehicles for transportation or which provides freight forwarding or air express services.
Nodal Ministry means the Ministry or Department identified pursuant to this order in respect of a particular item of goods or services or works.
Mines means those devices defined in Article 2, Paragraphs 1, 4 and 5 of Protocol II annexed to the Convention on Prohibitions and Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to Be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects of 1980.
Chile means the Republic of Chile.
Malta means the Island of Malta, the Island of Gozo and the other islands of the Maltese Archipelago, including the territorial waters thereof;
Namibia means the Republic of Namibia and, when used in geographical sense, includes the territorial sea as well as the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf over which Namibia exercises sovereign rights in accordance with its national and international laws concerning the exploration and exploitation of the natural resources of the sea-bed and its subsoil and the superjacent waters as defined in sections 2, 4, and 6 of the Territorial Sea and Exclusive Economic Zone of Namibia Act, 1990 (Act No. 3 of 1990);[definition of “Namibia” inserted by Act 13 of 2015]
inland waters means the navigable waters of the United States shoreward of the navigational demarcation lines dividing the high seas from harbors, rivers, and other inland waters of the United States and the waters of the Great Lakes on the United States side of the International Boundary;
Junkyard means an establishment or place of business which is maintained, operated or used for storing, keeping, buying or selling junk, or for the maintenance or operation of an automobile graveyard, including garbage dumps and sanitary fills.
oil tanker means a ship constructed or adapted primarily to carry oil in bulk in its cargo spaces and includes combination carriers and any “chemical tanker” as defined in Annex II of the present Convention when it is carrying a cargo or part cargo of oil in bulk.
South West Land Division means the South West Land Division as defined by Section 28 of the Land Act 1933-1971 excluding the area contained within the Metropolitan Area.
Harbour Master means the ABP Harbour Master or Dock Master for the Port (as appropriate) or their authorised representative;
Zone 3 means all of that part of the Lower Peninsula south of the line described in subdivision (bb).
foreshore , in relation to a port, means the area between the high-water mark and the low-water mark relating to that port;
land development area means an erf or the land which is delineated in an application submitted in terms of this By-law or any other legislation governing the change in land use and “land area” has a similar meaning;
Quadriplegia means total Paralysis of both upper and lower limbs. “Hemiplegia” means total Paralysis of the upper and lower limbs on one side of the body. “Uniplegia” means total Paralysis of one lower limb or one upper limb. “Paraplegia” means total Paralysis of both lower limbs or both upper limbs. “Paralysis” means total loss of use. A Doctor must determine the loss of use to be complete and not reversible at the time the claim is submitted.
Waterbody means any accumulation of water, surface or underground, natural or artificial, including rivers, streams, creeks, ditches, swales, lakes, ponds, marshes, wetlands, and ground water. The term does not include any storage or treatment structures.
International air transportation means transportation by air between a place in the United States and a place outside the United States or between two places both of which are outside the United States.
Indigenous Peoples means social groups with a distinct social and cultural identity that makes them vulnerable to being disadvantaged in the development process, including the presence in varying degrees of the following characteristics: (i) a close attachment to ancestral territories and to the natural resources in these areas; (ii) self-identification and identification by others as members of a distinct cultural group; (iii) an indigenous language, often different from Pilipino, the Recipient’s national language; (iv) presence of customary social and political institutions; and (v) primarily subsistence-oriented production.
Motorway means a road specially designed and built for motor traffic, which does not serve properties bordering on it, and which:
ESIA means Environmental and Social Impact Assessment.
India means the territory of India and includes the territorial sea and airspace above it, as well as any other maritime zone in which India has sovereign rights, other rights and jurisdiction, according to the Indian law and in accordance with international law, including the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea;
International airport means an airport:
