Major renovation means the renovation of a building where:
Remodeling means the alteration, construction or remodeling of partitions, hallways, stairways and means of egress, the replacement, relocation or reconstruction of heating, ventilating and sanitary equipment.
Renovation means rehabilitation that involves costs of 75 percent or less of the value of the building before rehabilitation.
refurbishment means repairing of used electrical and electronic equipment as listed in Schedule I for extending its working life for its originally intended use and selling the same in the market or returning to owner;
Major repair means either: (1) for a dispersal system, repairs required for an OWTS dispersal system due to surfacing wastewater effluent from the dispersal field and/or wastewater backed up into plumbing fixtures because the dispersal system is not able to percolate the design flow of wastewater associated with the structure served, or (2) for a septic tank, repairs required to the tank for a compartment baffle failure or tank structural integrity failure such that either wastewater is exfiltrating or groundwater is infiltrating.
Demolition means the wrecking or taking out of any load-supporting structural member of a facility together with any related handling operations or the intentional burning of any facility.
Cost of the Work means those costs described in Paragraph 11.2.
Erection, construction, remodeling, repairing means all types of work done on a particular building or work at the site thereof in the construction or development of the project, including without limitation, erecting, construction, remodeling, repairing, altering, painting, and decorating, the transporting of materials and supplies to or from the building or work done by the employees of the Contractor, Subcontractor, or Agent thereof, and the manufacturing or furnishing of
demolition work means a method to dismantle, wreck, break, pull down or knock down of a structure or part thereof by way of manual labour, machinery, or the use of explosives;
Excavation work means the making of any man-made cavity, trench, pit or depression formed by cutting, digging or scooping;
Renovator means an individual who has been issued a license by the Board to perform renovations or to direct others who perform renovations.
Digital audio-visual work means a series of related images which, when shown in succession, imparts an impression of motion, together with accompanying sounds, if any.
Urgent Work means any urgent measures which in the opinion of Engineer-in-charge become necessary during the progress of the work to obviate any risk of accident or failure or disruption of generation which become necessary for security.
Capital Replacement means the replacement of those items listed on Exhibit F.
Major maintenance means the adjustment, repair or replacement of a component or module that could affect the accuracy of a measurement.
piece-work means any work the pay for which is estimated by the amount of work performed irrespective of the time occupied in its performance;
Stand Alone System Upgrade Facilities means System Upgrade Facilities that a Developer may construct without affecting day-to-day operations of the New York State Transmission System during their construction. NYISO, the Connecting Transmission Owner and the Developer must agree as to what constitutes Stand Alone System Upgrade Facilities and identify them in Appendix A to this Agreement.
Maintenance Test means the maintenance test set out in Clause 12.1 (Maintenance Test).
Upgrades means all new versions and releases of, and bug fixes, error corrections, Workarounds, updates, upgrades, modifications, patches for, the Licensed Software, Deliverables, Documentation, or any other portion of the Work.
