Match Official definition

Match Official means a referee, assistant referee, fourth official, match commissioner, any person in charge of safety or any other person appointed by FFA, Football NSW, a Referee’s Body, a Centre, an Association Member or a Club to assume responsibility in connection with a Match.

• Any substitution during a Match must be recorded by the Club on a completed substitution slip and handed to the relevant Match Official prior to such substitution taking place.

• Any player sent off from a match must leave the field area and retreat to the parking area of the complex or an area designated by the Match Official (player must have adult supervision) unless the referee or League Commissioner grants an exception and allows the player to remain on the bench due to safety concerns.

Match Official means the referee and/or assistant referees appointed for that Match. “Member Union” means a Union in membership of the Rugby AU.
