Members of the University definition

Members of the University means all persons officially connected with the King’s, including staff, students, contractors, volunteers and independent members of the Council and its committees.
Members of the University means people who are: Members of Council; staff employed by the University; students registered with the University; alumni of the University who are registered with the Alumni Association; Emeritus Professors of the University; Honorary Graduates and Fellows of the University; and other people as designated from time to time by Council.
Members of the University means the enrolled students of the University; the staff employed at all campuses of the University whether or not the University is the employer; members of the Victoria University Alumni, and non-student and staff members of the sports clubs of the University.

  • Members of the University community with administrative responsibilities must take particular care to avoid relationships in which Financial Interests or other personal interests intersect with the University’s interests and have the potential for inappropriate factors to be considered in administrative decisions, including hiring decisions.

  • teachers of the University means Professors, Readers, Lecturers and such other persons as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conducting research in the University or in any College or Institution maintained by the University and are designated as teachers by the Ordinances;

For the purposes of this definition, a Person shall be considered the spouse of an individual if such Person is legally married to such individual, lives in a civil union with such individual or is the common law partner (as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) as amended from time to time) of such individual. A Person who was the spouse of an individual within the meaning of this paragraph immediately before the death of such individual shall continue to be considered a spouse of such individual after the death of such individual;

  • Member of the University Community means any person who is a volunteer including high school students, an enrolled student, faculty or staff member, University official, any other person employed by the University or campus visitors.

Industry allowance means an allowance to compensate for the following disabilities associated with construction work: Insulation includes handling charcoal, pumice, granulated cork, silicate of cotton, insulwool, slag wool, limpet fibre, vermiculite or other recognise insulating materials of a like nature, associated with similar disability in its use. This will also apply where an employee is working in the immediate vicinity who is affected by the use of such materials. Irrigation installer means an employee employed or usually employed in executing any irrigation plumbing. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing such work will include the following: Lagger means a person that insulates or clads ducts, pipes, valves or any other thing used in or in connection with the plumbing and air conditioning industry for the protection of thermal and or acoustics.
