This is further confirmed by 45% of grand- mothers who thought that the devices strengthen their communication with the younger generation.22 In fact, 78% of those surveyed credited the use of mobile phones to better social lives since contact is easily maintained.23 The mobile phone’s ability to strengthen relationships is more apparent in separated or divorced families. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ (2006), for example, found that many children under the age of 18 from separated or divorced families found the mobile phones useful (1) in contacting or staying in touch with their non- resident parents when their parents are in conflict, or (2) where they have to worry about the feelings of their resident parent when contacting the other.24 Obviously, the immediate extension of anytime, anywhere is using the opportunity to be in contact with the other. In daily life, we have established that ‘staying in perpetual contact’ is a logical follow-up of anytime, anywhere. In family life this extension is much appreciated, in the employer-employee relations it is not yet applied to such a large extent. While we do believe the benefits of perpetual connectivity are significant, we remark that perpetual connectivity provided by the mobile phones serves as a double edged sword for both parents and their children. On the one hand, it serves as a ‘digital leash’ for children and young people who are expected to be contactable by their parents at all times and on other hand, the mobile is seen as an ‘umbilical cord’ linking parents to their children which the parents are unable to cast off.25

Examples of Mobile Connection in a sentence

  • If Host Applications do not comply with the Private Mobile Connection Connectivity Guide, or in the case of SMS push via SMPP protocol, the Private Mobile Connection SMS Push ESME Guide, both of which are incorporated herein by reference, then AT&T may terminate the applicable Connection Right and/or terminate Service to any End Users.

  • Customer must comply with all reasonable security requirements and procedures established by AT&T and provided to Customer, and must use an industry standard virus protection program on all networks that Customer maintains that may be accessed by Private Mobile Connection – COAM Frame Relay.

  • The Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN will not be operational until the Customer Contact has participated in and approved all aspects of the Test and Turn-Up.

  • Notwithstanding anything in the Agreement (including this Attachment) to the contrary and without limitation as to the nature or amount of damages, Customer will be liable for all loss, costs and damages caused to AT&T’s wireless network or other AT&T facilities through Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN.

  • Customer acknowledges and agrees that deployment of Private Mobile Connection – COAM Frame Relay is subject to AT&T’s review and approval of Customer’s Host Applications.

  • Customer understands and agrees that AT&T may suspend or terminate Private Mobile Connection – COAM Frame Relay in its sole discretion without notice.

  • In the event of any expressly conflicting provisions between this Attachment and the remainder of the Agreement with respect to the subject matter of this Attachment, the terms and conditions of this Attachment control but only with respect to Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN.

  • In addition to the defined terms found elsewhere in the Agreement, the following definitions apply to Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN.

  • Customer acknowledges and agrees that it must have a custom APN and either public static IP addresses, private static IP addresses, public dynamic IP addresses or private dynamic IP addresses in connection with Private Mobile Connection – COAM Frame Relay.

  • The Customer Contact’s responsibilities with regard to Test and Turn-Up include, among other things: (a) validating that the Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN works properly and permits access to Customer’s network and the Host Application, and (b) authorizing the final deployment of the Private Mobile Connection – Dedicated APN.

  • Cross Connection means a jumper cable or similar connection provided pursuant to Collocation at the digital signal cross connect, Main Distribution Frame or other suitable frame or panel between (i) the Collocating Party’s equipment and (ii) the equipment or facilities of the Housing Party.
