Model Act definition

Model Act means the NAIC Long-Term Care Insurance Model Act (#640) as adopted by the NAIC on September 1, 2000, and as subsequently amended.
Model Act means the Risk-Based Capital (RBC) for Insurers Model Act as prepared by the NAIC and included in its Model Laws, Regulations and Guidelines as of June 6, 2005 and as hereafter amended, modified or supplemented.
Model Act means the Risk-Based Capital for Life and/or Health Insurers Model Act and the rules, regulations and procedures prescribed from time to time by the NAIC with respect thereto, in each case as amended, modified or supplemented from time to time by the NAIC.

  • Under sections 7702B(b)(1)(F), 7702B(g), and 4980C, qualified long-term care insurance con- tracts and issuers of those contracts are required to satisfy certain provi- sions of the Long-Term Care Insurance Model Act (Model Act) and Long-Term Care Insurance Model Regulation (Model Regulation) promulgated by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), as adopted as of January 1993.
