Open Access Customer definition

Open Access Customer means a consumer permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than a distribution licensee of his area of supply and the expression includes a generating company or a licensee who has availed of or intends to avail supply of power through open access.

Open Access Customer means a person permitted under these regulations to receive supply of electricity from another person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply, or a generating company (including captive generating plant)or a licensee, who has availed of or intends to avail of open access.

Open Access Customer means, (a) a consumer permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than distribution licensee of his area of supply, or (b) a generating company (including captive generating plant), or (c) a licensee who has availed or intends to avail of Open Access in accordance with the regulations of the Commission for grant of open access to the transmission lines and the distribution system of a licensee;

Examples of Open Access Customer in a sentence

• A Long Term Open Access Customer means a person availing or intending to avail access to the Inter-State/Intra-State Transmission System for a period of 25 years or more.

• A Long Term Open Access Customer means a person availing or intending to avail access to the Intra-State Transmission System for a period of 25 years or more.

• A generator in the State may be supplying power outside the State, or, within the State, to an Open Access Customer or to the distribution licensee.

• In case of any unethical practice or gaming by any person including an Open Access Customer, through power injection or drawal or change of status, the Commission may, by order, issue necessary directions which shall be binding on all parties concerned.

• Any other charges prescribed under any Rule is to be borne by the Open Access Customer if it is applicable to him.

More Definitions of Open Access Customer

Open Access Customer means a consumer permitted by the State Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than distribution licensee of his area of supply or a generating company (including captive generating plant) or a licensee, who has availed of or intends to avail of open access;

Open Access Customer means a person using or intending to use the transmission system or the distribution system or both of the Licensees in the state for transmission or wheeling of electricity in the State;

Open Access Customer means a consumer permitted to receive supply of electricity from a person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply, or a generating company (including captive generating plant) or a licensee or a captive user who has availed of or intends to avail of long-term open access or medium term open access or short-term open access, as the case may be;

Open Access Customer means a consumer, trader, distribution licensee or a generating company who has been granted open access under these regulations.

Open Access Customer means the consumer availing open access under sub‐section (2) of section 42 of the Act;

Open Access Customer means an applicant who has been granted open access under these regulations;

Open Access Customer means a consumer permitted by the Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person other than the Distribution Licensee of his area of supply, and the expression includes a generating company and licensees, who have availed of or intend to avail of open access.
