Ordinary repair and maintenance definition

Ordinary repair and maintenance means work for which a permit issued by the City of Chehalis is not required by law, and where the purpose and effect of such work is to correct any deterioration or decay of or damage to the real property or structure appurtenance therein and to restore the same, as nearly as may be practicable, to the condition prior to the occurrence of such deterioration, decay, or damage.
Ordinary repair and maintenance means any work, the purpose and effect of which is to correct or prevent any deterioration or decay of or damage to a building, object or structure or any part thereof and to restore same, as nearly as may be practicable, to its condition prior to such deterioration, decay or damage, using the same materials or those materials which are, in appearance, as close as possible to the original.
Ordinary repair and maintenance means any work, the sole purpose and effect of which is to correct normal deterioration, decay, or damage, and to restore the same, as nearly as may be practicable, to the condition and visual appearance prior to the occurrence of such deterioration, decay, or damage. Ordinary repair and maintenance does not apply to any new construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, or restoration project.

  • Ordinary repair and maintenance shall have the meaning attributed by the Civil Code of Malta but shall also mean to include, but shall not be limited to, the cleaning of sinks and drains, and damage to bulbs, light fittings, water geyser/s, television, fridge and cooker, as well as any minor defects in the water and electricity installations and cleaning before vacating.

However, Contractor’s Equipment excludes Temporary Works, Employer’s Equipment (if any), Plant, Materials and any other things intended to form or forming part of the Equipment.
