Parental Benefits definition

Parental Benefits means the E.I. benefits paid to an Employee who is taking a parental leave greater than thirty-five (35) weeks.

Examples of Parental Benefits in a sentence

  • An employee who is on parental leave as provided under this agreement who has passed the probationary period and has had such earnings from the Corporation within a twelve (12) month period and who provides proof they are in receipt of Employment Insurance Parental Benefits shall be paid a supplemental Employment benefit for a maximum of ten (10) weeks, excluding the Employment Insurance waiting period.

  • The Employee is required to apply for EI Parental Benefits and must be eligible for EI parental benefits for the Employer to be required to maintain 100% of the Employee’s regular weekly earnings under this Article.

  • Such payment shall commence following completion of the two (2) week Employment Insurance waiting period, and receipt by the Hospital of the employee's Employment Insurance cheque stub as proof that she is in receipt of Employment Insurance Parental Benefits, and shall continue while the employee is in receipt of such benefits for a maximum period of ten (10) weeks.

  • Parental Benefits: Parental benefits can be collected for up to weeks by both natural and adoptive parents while they are caring for a newborn or adopted child.

  • Notwithstanding the provisions contained in the previous clause, this plan provides that an employee on leave of absence as set out above and who is in receipt of Employment Insurance Maternity or Parental Benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act, shall be paid a Supplementary Employment Benefit.

  • An employee on leave as set out above who has applied for and is in receipt of Employment Insurance Parental Benefits pursuant to Section 20 of the Employment Insurance Act, shall be paid a Supplemental Unemployment Benefit.

  • Effective on confirmation by the Employment Insurance Commission, of the appropriateness of the Hospital’s Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) plan and retroactive to date of confirmation by the Employment Insurance Commission, an employee who is on parental leave as provided under this Agreement and who is in receipt of Employment Insurance Parental Benefits pursuant to Section 22 of the Employment Insurance Act, 1996, shall be paid a supplemental unemployment benefit.

  • Effective on confirmation by the Employment Insurance Commission, of the appropriateness of CAMH’s Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) plan and retroactive to date of confirmation by the Employment Insurance Commission, an employee who is on pregnancy leave as provided under this Agreement and who is in receipt of Employment Insurance Parental Benefits pursuant to Section 22 of the Employment Insurance Act, 1996, shall be paid a supplemental unemployment benefit.

  • Such payment shall commence following completion of the two (2) week Employment Insurance waiting period, and receipt by the Employer of the employee’s Employment Insurance Pregnancy or Parental Benefits stub, and shall continue while the employee is in receipt of such benefits for a period of fifteen (15) weeks, plus an additional ten (10) weeks for an employee taking parental leave.

  • The parties agree that Supplements to Employment Insurance (EI) Maternity or Parental Benefits will be provided to employees who commence maternity, adoption or parental leave on or after the signing date of this agreement.

Related to Parental Benefits

  • Gap medical benefits means the benefits (if any) payable in respect of medical expenses that are less than, greater than or equal to the schedule fee, provided always that the medical expenses relate to a professional service that:

  • Public Benefits means the provision of benefits to the community by the Developer in the form and at the times specified in Schedule 3.

  • Medical Benefits Schedule means the Medicare Schedule of Benefits produced by the Department of Health to which all fees and benefits relate for inpatient hospital services.
