Parliamentary Service definition

Parliamentary Service means employment under the Parliamentary Service Act 1999.
Parliamentary Service means the Parliamentary Service established under Article 217 of the Constitution;
Parliamentary Service means service as a Member of Parliament for any determinate period; “reckonable service” means the aggregate of all Parliamentary Service;

Examples of Parliamentary Service in a sentence

  • Where an employee is engaged as either an ongoing or non-ongoing APS employee immediately following a period of ongoing employment in the Parliamentary Service or the ACT Government Service, the employee’s unused accrued annual leave and personal/carer’s leave (however described) will be recognised.

  • Except that service will not be recognised if it ended with the employee accepting severance or enhanced early retirement under any restructuring/surplus staffing provisions of any department of the Public Service or Parliamentary Service.

  • Initiatives have been and will continue to be introduced to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Joint Parliamentary Service and to provide high quality services for all users/customers.

  • Where an employee is engaged in the Commission immediately following a period of ongoing employment in the Parliamentary Service or the ACT Government Service, the employee’s unused accrued annual leave and personal/carer’s leave will be recognised unless the employee received payment in lieu of those entitlements on cessation of employment.

  • Service with organisations where the employee was previously employed under the PS Act, the Parliamentary Service Act 1999, or from the ACT Government Service may be recognised for personal leave purposes if the break in service is not more than two calendar months.
