A Casual Employee a) can elect to accept or reject the offer to work at the time the work is offered.

A Casual Employee. (a) is an Employee who:
(i) is made an offer of employment on the basis that the Employer makes no firm advance commitment to continuing and indefinite work according to an agreed pattern of work (e.
A Casual Employee. 1. Is one who is engaged and paid on an hourly basis, one thirty-eighth (1/38th) of the appropriate rate in accordance with 13 MONETARY RATES Table 1 – Wage Rates, a 10% casual leave loading and whose services may be terminated without notice.
2. Is considered for any permanent hours and/or shifts that may become available, in accordance with clause 7.15
A Casual Employee except casual Teachers employed in a Pre-school or Kindergarten, will be paid per hour calculated at the rate of 1/38th of the weekly rate appropriate to the Employee's classification. In addition to their base hourly rate, a loading of 25% of that rate will be paid instead of the paid leave entitlements applicable to Full-time and Part-time Employees.
A Casual Employee. (i) is a person engaged on a daily basis in relieving work or work of an irregular or intermittent nature or of a short term duration but does not include an Employee who could properly be classified as permanent or fixed term;
(ii) will not be engaged in a full-time or part-time capacity on a continuous basis from week to week for more than 12 weeks. However, a further maximum period of up to 12 weeks may be agreed to between the Employer and the Employee concerned in which case the facilitative provisions at Clause 10 will apply;
(iii) will be engaged and paid by the hour;
(iv) whose engagement commences following the commencement of this Agreement will be engaged on each occasion and be paid for no less than three (3) hours and no more than ten (10) consecutive hours on any day;
(v) will be paid an hourly rate based on the salary for the job classification in which he or she is engaged, plus a casual loading of 22.5%, which loading is in lieu of annual leave, personal leave, public holidays and bereavement leave; and
(vi) will not be paid the casual loading when he or she receives overtime payments or works on a public holiday and receives a public holiday penalty.
A Casual Employee. (i) must be paid an hourly rate of 1/38th of the weekly ordinary time rate of pay for the classification in which they are employed in, plus a casual loading of 25%; and
(ii) must be paid for a minimum of four hours each day they are engaged.
A Casual Employee. A full-time Employee or a part-time Employee may be engaged as a:

d) is entitled to a minimum payment for four (4) hours work for each shift;
e) Maybe be engaged for up to the maximum number of hours as prescribed in clause 20.1.5 of this Agreement;
A Casual Employee is an employee engaged to work either; • for less than an average of fifteen hours per week, or • for less than one month - if employed for fifteen hours or more each week, or • where the employee’s ordinary hours vary from week, to week irrespective of the span of hours or the period of engagement, or • as a replacement employee for a period not exceeding three months.
3.3.3.1 a casual employee must be paid the hourly rate as defined for the work performed plus twenty per centum for ordinary working hours.
3.3.3.2 casual employees are not entitled to Annual Leave, Personal leave or payment for Public Holidays not worked.
3.3.3.3 Subject to the evidentiary and notice requirements in 6.2.6(a) and 6.2.6(b), employees are entitled to not be available to attend work, or to leave work: ▪ if they need to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support, or who require care due to an unexpected emergency, or the birth of a child; or ▪ upon the death in Australia of an immediate family or household member. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period for which the employee will be entitled to not be available to attend work. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to not be available to attend work for up to 48 hours (i.e. two days) per occasion. The casual employee is not entitled to any payment for the period of non-attendance.
A Casual Employee shall be paid a minimum of three hours for each start and the fares applicable in clause 25.1.1 of this Agreement . - where directed to report for work on a Saturday or Sunday and not being required shall be paid for two (2) hours at overtime rates and the fares applicable in clause 25.1.1 of this Agreement.
